The consequences of a cop doing what's good in the world and going against powerful and rich people is exactly why
in the big picture
As well as the fact that they hand pick the most reactionary people possible for the job for very good reasons
Using IQ, police departments refuse to accept candidates they deem as too smart, so only the most aggressive, violent, boot licking meathead is allowed to carry a gun and power to kill you.
