Between the ages of 8 and 12, MRI scans of children with ADHD show significantly lower cerebral blood flow in regions of the brain known to be related to attention, motor skills, executive function and impulsivity.

(Conclusively demonstrating that it's not just "in someone's head")

That's like my mom telling me "What are you depressed for? You have a great life, you have no reason to be sad!"

That's what fucking depression is you dumb bitch.

Only I had every reason to be depressed. Lonely, ADHD, gay kid in rural Texas, in a Christian household that doesn't believe in therapy or psychiatric medication.

Not gay but raised in Texas by same kind of parents. I hope you gotten out. My youngest son is not only ADHD but also gay, but unlike his grandparents I am supportive and understanding.

But always looking to do better why I join this sub.

Hope you are better now. That's a uniquely cruel combination of ignorance in one place.
