I had a laptop and its fan died twice. Replacing the fan the first time was such a hassle that the second time it broke I saved up for a desktop.
Thank you! I've heard this kind of maintenance is a pain in the ass for laptops but I hate throwing out electronics that are fine aside from one component! Maybe this experience will change my mind but the fan replacement seems (relatively) straight forward
