Lemmy has a lot of people who are either right-wing or accelerationists. You can spot them by their “you’re not left enough” gatekeeping and the pushing of info condemning everyone but the right wing.

I think there’s a pretty solid group of people purposefully pushing it, and that gets parroted by people who get mad at the wind.
