I'm sorry you don't see very plainly the alienation in action here, even though you yourself have it interwoven into your very argument - the only way you can think of to interface with art is via commoditisation. Whether it's what wallpaper is on your desktop, what app is on your phone, what hit song could be churned out today - no thought for the human element, just bare 'how can i turn this into more products'.
