I hope this is a promo picture on a cold range, because I doubt those are air pistols like today, and that photographer is clearly ahead of the firing line

Here's an old picture of men testing bulletproof vests

Here's a new picture of men testing a bulletproof cup.

Men were MEN back then, and MEN always put themselves in needless danger!

I am uncertain of the nationality of the photographer, but I believe the two Swedish men in the picture might disagree on which flag should be flying.

Fully agree with a modern lens, but to be fair if there was one place I'd stand down a live range the Olympic pistol would be pretty high up there.

I wouldn't even for a million Euros, the French federation thinks the four rules are too good for them and they also write self-contradicting bullshit. I'm willing to bet they're not the worst.

Are you kidding? For 250k, I'd stand down range for the whole of all shooting events at the Olympics.

Today's athletes for shooting are probably at such a high level. Even if they did miss the target, it wouldn't be by much.

Range safety wasn’t really a thing back then.
