You can't fix her, she isn't broken. She's just living her truth.

Part of me wants to a mini-series in the Alien universe but not dealing with Xenomorphs. I love The All Black Terror of Space that is the Alien, and I genuinely think it's one of the few sci-fi things from the 80s that hasn't been utterly mined for nostalgia. I will say it has been merchandised to death for sure, there is Aliens crossover with just about everything.

I think in general the Aliens movies are just good-ass sci-fi films, a couple of them are straight up cinema, but I think I'd enjoy a tight five or six episode mini-series about shit you'd read in the comics or novels. "Alien" is one of the few sci-fi series I think the "extended universe" is legitimately interesting. The Dark Horse comics were all surprisingly really good.

I have an issue from the 90's open in another tab, and it inspired me to make this thread owl-wink Sadly the AvP films do a major disservice to the lore of the comics and games, movies that should have printed money and been blockbuster slop stinked to high heaven.

Big agreement with you on that one. It's crazy that AvP was so bad, and it's crazy a second AvP hit the towers. I don't know how/why AvP got two films. It's such a shame that AvP came out in that weird time in movies.

I still have hope for Romulus, and I just FINALLY started playing Isolation and it rules.

Isolation

Best video game movie adaption ever, imo.

Haven't played it in forever so it might not hold up as well as I remember, but the Chronicles of Riddick game on original Xbox was surprisingly good too

People sleep on those games and those movies. If Vin Disel wasn't so odd, he could have let Riddick become the Space Outlaw Conan The Barbarian the Furyan always should have been. Riddick seems like one of those characters and worlds that's full of potential if they tried.

Same so much. I wanna explore that setting

This post gave me such an involuntary memory of my childhood and reading those comics. They were so good.
