Alberta is the Ohio of Canada. Change my mind.
Alberta has no rats. Rats are an invasive species in the Americas, and the Albertan government has effectively made the province rat-free.

(This also unfortunately means domestic rats are forbidden in Alberta).
They do, however, have pack rats, which are native to the province.
I think the ship has sailed on the no rats thing at this point
