Dbz seems cool. My ADHD ass couldn't handle the entire episodes of b plot with cutaways to Goku screaming. Maybe that could be the first anime i watch as an adult
The abridged version is actually nice because you get the jist of the plots without multiple episodes of people charging their fireballs.

I think one of the most recent movies finally has Vegeta win a fight against Goku and claim the title of Most Powerful Saiyan. But the implication is that this is just a continuation of their endless rivalry that will echo through the ages.
