No need to pretend Marvel movies stopped being money generators. Newest Deadpool & Wolverine generated worldwide 1.3B USD, ranking it 21st top grossing movie of all time. Domestic 633M USD, China 60M USD. It's 7th highest grossing MCU movie.
That's more of an exception than the rule.
Even a joke in the movie that they are joining the MCU at a low point
Lets see if that trend holds for future MCU movies
Marvel has gone from a sure thing to being a lot more iffy.
There are good recent Marvel movies, but there are some box office duds.
