It was a thing on UK Left Twitter, particularly during the Corbyn years and their aftermath. I think it was just supposed to describe a certain stuffy, fragile male ego typical to serious centrist media types. It was that and calling everyone 'nonce'. Incredibly stupid cultural moment in hindsight.
