Detroit has gotten a lot better in the past few years, it’s been a very impressive turnaround for the city, while Trump still only knows it as the city with those evil black people

Trump still thinks Johnny Carson is alive. That fact would have been non stop news for a week of Biden had said it.

The one with the alpine elephants?

Even this is outdated!

Detroit was getting better in like 2015 and was very nice to live in 2017.

Today, 7 years later. It's objectively nice. Lots of old and forgotten buildings now hold nice restaurants, hotels, bars, stores, you name it.

Its amazing what they've done and it only gets better each year.

You're not wrong, but we really really need to spread the wealth (as it were) from downtown and midtown out to the neighborhoods. If you just drive a mile down Jefferson from the Ren Cen and hang a left on Chene you will immediately see what I'm talking about.

Perhaps some areas, but it was definitely not looking its best around 2015. This is coming from an outsider who just saw a town/city which had lost itself and was still getting back on its feet. There was very much a case of people who had lost a lot and it just did not quite feel safe. I don't doubt it is looking up now, I just didn't see it at the time (this would have been around 2014 - 2015).
