This is a community in the spirit of "Am I The Asshole" where people can post their own bans from lemmy or reddit or whatever and get some feedback from others whether the ban was justified or not.
Sometimes one just wants to be able to challenge the arguments some mod made and this could be the place for that.
Rules
- Post only about bans or other sanctions from mod(s).
- Provide the cause of the sanction (e.g. the text of the comment).
- Provide the reason given by the mods for the sanction.
- Don't use private communications to prove your point. We can't verify them and they can be faked easily.
- Don't deobfuscate mod names from the modlog with admin powers.
- Don't harass mods or brigade comms. Don't word your posts in a way that would trigger such harassment and brigades.
- Do not downvote posts if you think they deserved it. Use the comment votes (see below) for that.
- You can post about power trippin' in any social media, not just lemmy. Feel free to post about reddit or a forum etc.
Expect to receive feedback about your posts, they might even be negative.
Make sure you follow this instance's code of conduct. In other words we won't allow bellyaching about being sanctioned for hate speech or bigotry.
Some acronyms you might see.
- PTB - Power-Tripping Bastard: The commenter agrees with you this was a PTB mod.
- YDI - You Deserved It: The commenter thinks you deserved that mod action.
- BPR - Bait-Provoked Reaction: That mod probably overreacted in charged situation, or due to being baited.
- CLM - Clueless mod: The mod probably just doesn't understand how their software works.

Being pro-Israel is besides the point. I am anti-violence first and foremost. That calling for violence bs is actually the opposite. I am mocking the absurdity of using violence when it is giving them zero benefit at horrible cost. Imagine thinking 'speak up at the UN' is a call for violence.
Not really, Israel is currently engaged in a genocide of the Palestinian people. They are bombing hospitals, shooting civilians. Supporting them is almost universally frowned upon right now and would definitely contribute to your being banned from communities. Not on it's own, but in the context of the other shit you posted, it would definitely be a factor.
Try and communicate that a bit better then, your comments are telling the opposite story, things like this: Don't come off to others as a peaceful non-violent person. They come off as advocating violence, specifically the part where:
Yeah that combined with your other comments either supporting or refusing to condemn the use of human shields really doesn't make you look good here. And it isn't surprising in the least why they banned you from the community. Be grateful they didn't permanently ban you.
lol 'be grateful Musk didn't ban you permanently from X' is how that sounds at this point. What a surprise: someone digging deep for another statement taken way out of context isn't seeing the problem. Keep supporting lazy and inappropriate banning that supports your agenda. Enjoy the shithole that this place becomes because of it. Hate Reddit? It's not nearly as bad as this mess is and defending it makes you part of the problem.
What are you on about? You got banned for comments which came off as being in support of the use of human shields, as well as the use of violent language and encouragement of violence. There isn't a deeper meaning and you aren't being oppressed, you behaved out of line, and you were disciplined.
People additionally don't have your sympathy because of your pro-Israel position, given the fact that they are the primary aggressors in this conflict. This is also true for moderators as well and means they will be much less understanding when you spew stuff like this:
