FFS dude, even a casual look at a dictionary would tell you that it is, in fact, a slur.
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Negro
Even the most non-offensive definitions of "Negro" incorrectly describe it as a different race, as if black people were not human. So even in the BEST POSSIBLE CONTEXT you're still using it as a racial slur.
I can also say with 100% certainty that you are not black. Only non-black racists try to claim that Negro is not a racial slur.
Depends on the publication's editorial guidelines with respect to what words are censored and how. Probably not the author's choice.
I would have considered your point, but it's pretty clear you are absolutely unreasonable and presumptuous. Of course you think I'm prejudiced, because it's a projection of who you are.
Did you just pull a "No I'm not, you are!"
Dude, wow... just, wow.
Dont lie. You would never have considered my point. Because you're more concerned about being "right" than actually changing your viewpoint.
Ive presented straight up facts. Also note that you didn't even refute my argument. You are not a black person. Ask yourself how I could know this. Then try to understand how little of your own thoughts are actually yours.
Maybe if you do that you'll learn to deprogram yourself. But hey, I get it. It's easier to blame other people for your shortcomings.
I won't respond any more to any further arguments on your part.
lol. You really have no idea how logically ridiculous you are, do you.
Just remember that you are clearly projecting here. You think I must have this short-coming because you see it in yourself.
Next time I suggest just moving on rather than taking childish insulting swings at the other person and then running away. I'm happy to debate you on the topic, if you're willing to not ridiculously and illogically accuse me of being racist because I disagree with you.
Oh? You use that term all the time then? How often do you get punched in the mouth? Let's go with daily average.
Yes, that's clearly what I said. You're very smart.
So you agree that it's an insulting and disparaging word? How is that not a slur?
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/slur
It's not a word I use myself. I've just never considered it offensive, just dated. If someone told me it was offensive to them, I wouldn't use it (but again, I don't use it anyway so I don't see how this wouldn't come up) around them.
But, honestly, I would have no problem saying "the United Negro College Fund" if I were talking about it, but if there were a similar entity that used the far more offensive n-word in it, I would not feel comfortable using it and wouldn't say it at all.
And I find this all kind of silly because they freely use it throughout the article, where i doubt the same could be said about the other n-word.
