Yeah, blue on blue incidents are common in war, and the less coordinated units are, the more likely it is to happen. I imagine the NK units are not well-integrated into the Russian command structure, so this is really something that they should have been expecting after haphazardly tossing NK units into combat mixed in near Russian units.
