but i get the "game mechanic" option of having AI states take diverging communist paths to create more factions to engage with. but yeah this is not the era of nation states splitting. Sino-Soviet split is far away and at the time the Soviets were THE model to emulate, excluding obviously the marginalized Trotskyiests

Especially when the Allies faction led by the UK doesnt dissolve post-ww2 so literally any war with a colonial state has you getting attacked by every fucking country on earth immediately.
