Here's a list of tons of leftist movies.
Jadzia is a more obvious choice for B than Julian but admittedly it's kinda hard to figure out a solid L representative
Got you covered.
I consulted with a real-world L about this option and she said, and I quote, "fucking fuck yes!" when I asked, so I take that as an official endorsement from the L community.
Oh shit! Nailed it. Also absolute awooga
I like to think that Nicole de Boer just showed up one morning to makeup looking like that and they decided to roll with it. If I saw someone wearing that in the street at any point in the last fifty years, I wouldn't bat an eye, it feels so timeless.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think Ezri should have replaced Jadzia several seasons earlier. One, so that Terry didn't have to suffer as much from sex pests. Two, because Ezri is a far more interesting character.
i was racking my brain trying to figure out where the "l" came from until you put together "l representative" and the episode "rejoined" popped back into my head. lol
Oh, lower case L. I was seeing upper case i for a while there. Rejoined is on the table there, but she also married Worf and was shown to be into a decent amount of dudes as well as women (implied by the show and confirmed by headcannon of the masses). She kisses another woman on screen so I guess it's the best we've got do far, which is pretty shitty.
whole heartedly agreed; that episode plus the outcast from tng were murky at best and i'm glad that new era of star trek has made up for it since it's better late than never.
I can't think of a current trek lesbian either. We got bi but I haven't seen any leabians.
fwiw: i know that mariner in lower decks dated a andorian woman; but i can't remember if there's any mention of her being bi or any man.
She's bi. She has been shown to be turned on by Ransom from time to time and a few other hetero instances.
Also, she specifically says her "type" is bad boys, bad girls, bad non-binary babes, bad Bynars, and ruthless alien masterminds.
ransom?! really? which episode(s)?
First season, third episode, starting about 2/3rds in.
thank you!
I think there's a couple occasions where he does a kirk speech and she's turned on by it
now i know you're fucking with me. lol
It's in the show
now i'm going to have to binge watch the series again to find this.
why is your comment blank?
I sent a gif. Probably doesn't work cause you aren't hexbear
Lower Decks is doing this very interesting thing where we get to know Starfleet officers' flaws before we get to know their strengths. That's not really been a thing in prior Trek series.
At least Trek was almost always (cough "Code of Honor" cough) good on racial issues, which I think laid solid groundwork for encouraging compassion in stories in general.
i feel like lower decks pushes this compassion to a new level each time they bait and switch with a story that seems like it would be drama, but ends up being a fun silly nothing-burger.
the one with rutherford stressing out about how he's going to disappoint all the department chairs; but each one ends up being completely encouraging in his decision after hamming up all the drama about the disappointment comes to mind.
Mariner had a whole relationship with another woman on screen but she's also been shown to be into dudes as well.
do you know which episode(s)?
A whole relationship onscreen is giving it a bit too much credit since her and Jenn were kind of a background thing thar came up a couple times before they broke up and it was brought up again in a recent episode that I don't care for how it was handled.
