Don't get a tesla for one, apart from that try not to get any that has internet or other services if you can.

It's okay to have boundaries around this if you really don't want to, just thought we should say in case people think they have to.

What a sad little man.

It's meant to be like scratching on the door is my guess.

It's kind of a shame that the pistol anarchists weren't really a faction.

All the groups the game marks as 'official' factions are all pretty horrible and I'd rather see a london without any of them.

It does make sense though, the anarchists just like they would be in real life are concerned with looking after their own sector and are wise enough to realise than going outside of that would stretch them too thin.

Still, it would be nice to work with perhaps a coallition/federation of anarchist groups who don't want to control but genuinely improve london which all of the existing groups only want to do through control.

I'd really like an alternative to outright violence for revenge or control in these games. Only using it as a last resort or like a scalpel rather than an army of guns.

Why not just change the text then if you're over it?

And this is why commercial social media and the overarching idea that violence is a good way to solve most problems are both bad ideas.

It says something that folks reach for that instead of learning how to be calm about such things and tend to be supported for such behaviour instead of told it's not a good idea, even worse that they never take such things down once posted, often.

All part of the patriarchal, oversharing that the internet loves.

You as a user can block instances.

Sadly we cannot on beehaw, its version is too old.

[-] SweetCitrusBuzz@beehaw.org 2 points 21 hours ago

Hope you can get one soon!

Have done so, hope that helps!

Yes, I said it and mean it.

It has 'NPCs' that feel way more alive than anything bethesda ever put out and even an anarchist faction that so far acts like actual anarchists do/would in real life not the common idea of anarchists in most media.

Apart from the ocassional crashes (even with the patch), this is a great game/mod and I highly recommend trying it out if you have Fallout 4.

Edit: You can get it here

Instructions on how to install on Steam are here

Instructions on how to install on linux are here (though you can skip installing Buffout as the latest patch has it already). I do recommend installing it through Heroic if you have a gog account though, makes it a lot easier than Lutris ime.

Make sure you turn off weapon debris, you can do this by finding Fallout4Prefs.ini for both Fallout 4 and Fallout London (just in case) and setting the following options thusly:

[NVFlex] bNVFlexEnable=0 iQuality=0 bNVFlexInstanceDebris=0 bNVFlexDrawDebris=0

An absolutely wonderful and deep insight into all the problems with revolutionary and other social movements, from the self serious martyrs that base their ideas on being the hero and get burned out to the rejection of rest, older wisdom and other such things it is a very much necessary message in this time of so much uncertainty.

Know where you are going, not just what you're trying to move away from.

An absolutely fantastic look at how goth is overwhelmingly white and all the problems that causes in it by Shonalika.

This looks amazing!

We cannot wait to be terrified and exploring the depths, possibly in multiplayer this time (if the trailer is anything to go by).

So excited for this!

I am very excited about this, although a bit saddened to see they're still doing it as an 'episodic' release game. Maybe that's better for funding or something however, I thought game developers had moved past that?

Warning for gore and zombies.

A video showing how both the tech sector in general but more specifically the video game sector have no new ideas and try to repackage old ideas and get massive investment to sell 'innovated' ideas and products to people even though they're no better than the original ideas they're aping and in a lot of ways worse.

Hi I was wondering what folk's here liked most in terms of neopronouns for first, second and third person.

If you don't know what that means:

  • First are things like I/me

  • Second are things like you and y'all

  • Third are things like they, she and he

A great piece of music in my opinion, covering various genres and styles.

A much needed reminder that Machine Learning and Large Language Models (so called 'AI') is plagiarism, don't necessarily agree it's theft in the strict legal definition (but definitely in the colloquial meaning), but it's definitely immoral and unethical and the used by those that want to contribute nothing themselves.
