Fandom Link (not recommended)

Just wanted to recommend this series, the idea of a parallel book world and its execution is damn fun. The plot is nice too, even if it gets very outlandish toward the end.

I also recommend SC Expanded and Extended if you have experience with StreetComplete. It adds direct editing functionality and more quests.

Thanks for waiting. I think @misericordiae@kbin.social has done a great job with the logo. (Nothing to add from my side)

Thanks, that's good advice. How about this one?

Colors aren't final tho

I like the recommendations, but I think the logo should be less generic. I threw this together quite quickly, just wanted to get the idea out there:

Any feedback? It does look a bit off currently

Yeah, I was very excited after I heard they could run basically anything you put on the internal SD. It's hardware 'made' for Linux without the extra price bc nobody outside the tech bubble cares.

I'm reading The Time Machine rn, quite fun and short. I like the old writing style.

Edit: Support for Kobo devices, other brands with the same hardware might work as well.

I strongly agree. While I did not look into any problems concerning instance admins (= I'm unable to comment on the issue), I have noticed that Lemmy is a beast of an echo chamber. I don't think this is a direct goal of many Lemmy users, but simply a result of multiple factors:

  • Lemmy is FOSS software/ pro-privacy etc. and has a higher barrier of entry; this is probably why Lemmy is full of techies
  • The architecture of the Fediverse appeals to many who are against the idea of a single entity being in control; this (and other factors) might cause the high amount of left/ far-left people on Lemmy (e.g. the Lemmy devs are openly on the far-left spectrum)

However, there are many Lemmings that I have seen actively pointing out these phenomenons and criticizing these developments (usually with mixed reactions). I believe that everyone (especially the Fediverse itself) benefits from an actively diverse Fediverse/ Lemmy. Lemmings from all (political) backgrounds should consider promoting Lemmy to communities that are on the other side of the spectrum as well, if they believe in the benefits of diversity. I often read posts about how nice Lemmy used to be before Redditors migrated, but I don't think that the simple kindness/ enthusiasm has vanished yet.

Echo chambers don't protect anybody, they poison any beliefs and hurt whoever is in them; if people don't realize this, the Fediverse is set up to fail from the start. Personally, Lemmy has driven me away from using social media (of any kind) at all (which is a good thing tbh). No social media might be better than decentralized social media after all.

I suggest looking through his twitter feed (not saying you didn't) and paying close attention to the depiction of (not/) favoured men/ women. Twitter links warning In this cartoon (twitter) you can see the unnecessary sexualisation, while this one shows the exact opposite (cuz political enemy and black, idk). Also: Usual depiction of Joe Biden, heavy incel vibes and a masterpiece in bigotry. Make of that what you will, but I think stripping all his influence out of his cartoons would be more work than actually drawing new ones.___

Some pretty bad right wing cartoon about how unchristian families force their beliefs onto their children. In the spirit of fair use, I chose to credit that guy anyways.

yeah, I really like the template as well

Here's the clean template: https://discuss.tchncs.de/post/2730869 (idk how to link to lemmy posts properly)

Try switching around the panels. Based on questionable cartoon made by @GPrime85 (twitter, etc.)
