So, basically, I kinda don't like very much to have an immutable distro, there are things I don't really like about steam OS but the immutability makes it so if can't really change it, for starters, I kinda don't like at all dolphin, and would prefer to use nemo, but is my understanding that next time valve pushes an update, all it would revert.

So I was wondering what other options for distros there is, that are not immutable, that allows me to not loose any basic functionality is possible, things like gamescope, and how the keyboard works with the touchpads.

Advice would be appreciated.

In my univerity, they just told me how to pirate articles, straigt up, as if it was just normal and legal, very based but it was surprising.

First of all, how is called this category of programs, instance engine?

Second, why there are 3 different, basically inter-compatible projects out there, what are the benefits of each one over the others? and why does Lemmy prevail all of them.

*i will be using feddit as a umbrella term for all the reddit-like fediverse.

I don't have much of a technical Background to know how this things work under the hood, but I'm quite curious of where all of this is heading.

I see a lot of awesome features locked away in these other projects that would be just nice if it was standard to have them, like piefed's hashtag-like system that allows people to seek things by topic instead of going to a specific community hosted in a specific instance, it would instantly fix the fragmentation problem across feddit, lol.

How the future of feddit will be? will be all be using Lemmy or other specific project, or instances will use whatever project they like and they will be cross compatible enough that it won't be much of a deal what project is running underneath?

Mr Gates actually has some power to do something about the crazyness and shittines of the world we live right now.

I don't discredit his philanthropic work, some of the things he does is actually good, neither that he calls out the insanity, any sane person should do, but, and this but is as huge as the Titanic, Mr Gates, is able to do something about it, and has been for a long time before shit hit the fan tbh, actions speak louder than words, specially the lack of action lmao.

If Mr Gates really feel this way, he should do something about it, he has the money.
