Last but not least, yes, we are in development on the next chapter – The Elder Scrolls VI. Even now, returning to Tamriel and playing early builds has us filled with the same joy, excitement, and promises of adventure.

So still no updates on TES6 then. Saved you a click I guess

Due to a certain situation I'm living at work (for about two months now) I've basically given up tending to all the other stuff in my life and it's really starting to impact my relationships, my mental health and my job itself.

I feel so overwhelmed about all the stuff I still need to do I'm starting to have meltdowns everytime something new pops up (even something as small as a friend's birthday).

Just yesterday I managed to tackle one of the things I've been procrastinating and felt no satisfaction whatsoever due to the huge amount of things that still need to be done and situations that need to be addressed.

I feel I'm only able to handle one "crisis" at a time, and the moment there are two going on, everything else becomes one.

I also can't stop thinking about this whole situation, it's like my brain is constantly active but in the end I can't manage to get me to do anything. It's exhausting.

Does it happen to you too? How do you deal with that?

Edit: thanks to everyone who took time to reply and give honest advice. I'll read all the messages at the end of my shift

Epic cons:

  • Filled to the brim with DRM, at the point where you can't even launch many singleplayer games offline
  • Actively against linux, for some fucking reason
  • Bad launcher (but this one is no biggie, you can and should use Heroic launcher instead of the official one)
  • Bad store in general compared to steam
  • Ties with Tencent (super anti-consumer chinese state-owned megacorp)

Epic pros:

  • Free games
  • With coupons prices can get VERY low
  • When it opened I heard the percent they take from game devs was lower than the other stores (not sure if it's still the case and tbh if it ever was)

Steam pros:

  • Pushing linux gaming like their life depends on it
  • Generally correct towards the consumer
  • Huge store and many information, from the game store pages to the workshop
  • During sales prices are good

Steam cons:

  • Drm
  • Bad official app Ux and messy ui

Gog

I don't know anything besides the fact that it has drm-free games and that it's owned by CDPR (the guys who developed the witcher series and cyberpunk)

I personally purchase my games on steam, since I think their contribution to linux gaming is crucial for linux to go mainstream

Choose what you will knowing this. If someone else wants to add something to this list you're welcome to do so.

Surely a good exercise for the person who does it and a good way for those who work(or want to work) in the field to see how other designers tackle these kind of projects, even if for fun.

Wouldn't really call it meaningless

I mean gameplay-wise, I don't really care for the story.

Stuff like artifacts, new characters, new region etc.

Hi all, I need to replace a power supply in an old pc. I think it's 650-700w, but could it be too much for a GTX960+AMD FX8320?

Is there a tool to help me evaluate the proper power range needed?

It was founded in Russia in 2009, then moved its headquarters from Moscow to Cyprus almost 10 years ago, in 2014 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/AdGuard

They've been a solid presence in the privacy scene for years now, contributing to spread privacy awareness and not incurring in a single major controvesy/scandal so far.

They're legit imo, and they provide solid services

Not sure about the basis for the claims of "shadiness"

[-] UprisingVoltage@feddit.it 44 points 1 year ago

Only worth if you want to support telegram financially imo

On windows, everybody uses afterburner to overclock/undervolt.

What options do we have on linux (I have an nvidia gpu)?

Why YSK: On Zalando you can find lots of products from popular brands for crazy cheap compared to physical stores. There are new sales everyday and it's a great way to either buy something cheap or high quality products for a fraction of their cost.

Zalando Privè is another website from Zalando which has even more sales. Check them both out! You just need one Zalando account to log in both.

Zalando: https://zalando.com/ Zalando Privè: https://www.zalando-prive.fr/

Double disclaimer: I am not affiliate in any way with zalando and I don't know what countries are covered. Just open them and try.

Why YSK: Tor provides a secure, anonymous access to the web to people who can't do it carelessly like we do (journalists and citizens of authoritarian countries for example).

Snowflake is a legal, zero effort way to help those people access the internet. If you're interested in how it works, here's the explaination I'm not including for the sake of brevity.

To actually use snowflake you just have to install the official browser extension

That's it, just make sure the extension is up and running and never worry about it again, it will do its thing and never bother you or even make you notice it's there. It's inexpensive in terms of resources too.

Works for mobile too

[-] UprisingVoltage@feddit.it 93 points 1 year ago

Honestly yeah. There's been some controversies in the past, but for someone who's looking for a zero-effort way to browse privately and support the privacy scene (DDG donates a lot of money) it's a great choice. Wouldn't recommend their browser/extensions though

Edit: not sure why the video isn't there anymore, but he said something along the lines of: the scene is stagnating now that the game has entered end of life and tournaments are being cancelled, and he feels like there's nothing to grind for anymore. On the other hand he always enjoyed SF casually and SF6 has a proper training mode, rollback netcode, cool gameplay and most importantly crazy big tournaments and prizes.

He'll be back for smash 6 when it releases, if the next month and a half of training in SF6 will get good results
