You sure seem to be right about the broader definition! But legal or not, it still seems absolutely crazy to classify this type of property damage as terrorism to me... I have a hard time to see how to justify that beyond, of course, the technicalities of the definition in the UK
Are you sure it wasn't "brzeczyszczykiewicz" (difference in last two letters)? Otherwise it seems like a little typo, which, to be fair, would be a good idea to keep it safe from Polish people haha
Haha I'm scared of sounding like I don't like high speed rail, which I do! I love trains in general, I'm interrailing right now! Buuut I felt this was a relevant place to link this fascinating article (slightly click-baity headline) about how high speed rail in Europe is actually not constructed in a very good way, because it ends up eliminating many of the positive sides with the European railway network: https://solar.lowtechmagazine.com/2013/12/high-speed-trains-are-killing-the-european-railway-network/
Edit: fixed typo
Haha maybe it's just me, but I feel like the good guys have a really cool look in this picture, different shapes and sizes, unexpected designs and cool details on their clothing! The bad guys are not bad, but it's mostly the same armour as always
To be fair, "game of the year" feels like it's meant to measure popularity, while "most innovative" sounds like it shouls measure how innovative a game is, which is perhaps why the two awards get such different reactions.
Ah it did indeed show much more info! I could pick out two things that seemed like error messages, I'll search the internet for them later but gotta run for Christmas celebration in a minute.
When starting Steam it told me "unable to init and enumerate GPUs with Vulkan" and "BInit - unable to initialize Vulkan!", which sounds potentially serious.
On trying to start the games (and maybe at other occasions too) it told me
Glib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_setting_schema_source_lookup: assertion 'source != NULL' failed
I'll look into them when I get the time, but I wanted to write them here anyway for completeness. Thank you for your help!
Thanks, it indeed says driver=nvidia!
I've heard that League is usually problematic on Linux, but it's not a deal breaker, my computer is dual booted anyway so I could always play it on Windows.
All the games, League aside, are purchased through Steam. I have only tried these games I mention, since they are the only games I've been playing since I set up my Linux partition, but since not a single one of them worked at all I have assumed that's it's probably not the games that are the problem.
Nvidia-smi confirms I'm using 545.29.06. About Vulkan though, i l noticed now that when I launch Steam through the terminal it says "unable to enumerate GPUs with Vulkan" and "Unable to initialize Vulkan". Could maybe that be the source of the issue then? Thanks a lot for your help either way!
I have a FP4 and I'm very happy with it! It's a little chunkier than my last phone, but I think it works great. I haven't needed to repair it yet, but just knowing that I can is awesome. I never was one for the absolute cutting edge of smartphones, so I can't really tell you how it compares to those, but the camera is more than enough, and everything feels as new as it needs to be!
I had some issues with occasional ghost touches before, as someone else mentioned, but they seem to (finally) have patched them out just a couple of weeks ago :D
Speed Racer (2008)! The Wachowski sisters directed it after the Matrix trilogy, and the silly and over-the-top aesthetics seem to have put of many, but I think it's a genuinely fun movie with great themes and some awesome emotional moments.
I started swaying towards defederating after reading this article, maybe you'd like to take a look and see what you think? It argues much better than I ever could.
I don't think automated vehicles are necessarily bad, there are some trains that are autonomous that work well as far as I know, but this in no way means that autonomous cars are a good idea. Not Just Bikes has a very interesting (albeit long, but you don't need to watch much of it to get the gist) of how autonomous cars could make cities an absolute nightmare, I recommend it!
