This is going to kill the content creation industry. Imagine a torrent client that has a built in neural network training module. You are now allowed to access any IP protected content and inspect it on your home TV for dataset building. What the neural network does is irrelevant, it can have a couple of layers and be trained with a residual amount of the CPU load. Happy torrenting :)
A balance between communities. There are communities that are very active and fill my feed. Although those community are OK, I am much more interested in some smaller and niche communities. Those get lost in the feed.
I saw it somewhere and it just sticks. I assumed that pronunciation as well
To connect it to a dock station and have a full desktop experience. That is my use case
What is the advantage of Bluesky's model over Xitter? Are they just outsourcing servers while still holding censorship and manipulation power?
Come on, spit it out. Who cares about Internet points?
Is this turning into minority report in real life?
I was never banned or even warned. Reddit is an American company who is catering to the oligarchy. While before the USA was a seemingly friendly country to other democracies, this is not the case anymore. A majority of their population is either voting for agression or is complicit by inaction. Adding content to USA social media is only increasing their reach. Reddit used to be nice but Lemmy is a better alternative anyway.
To be fair, the people here in Lemmy already know about half of these and are willing to changethe rest. Using reddit to spread the word actually reaches the target audience of this post.
As a kid, I once killed a fly by squeezing an empty yogurt bottle, propelling the lid of said bottle and squatting the fly on the wall. I did that on purpose and it took some attempts.
I don't have an iPhone. Samsung Wallet only allows to add everything but payment cards
How much time would a black hole bomb take to go off?
