Hello comrades, Torquay will see a Stop The Boats protest tomorrow evening 7th of August. for those living there stay safe as right wingers will be bussed up and down from all over Britain.

We: a coalition of trade unions and socialists as well as activists and other such leftist groups will counter protest Stop The Boats but we are only strong in numbers. I am asking if you disagree with these extremists and wish to struggle along side us please come and join.

And with sufficient numbers are voice will be heard.

Exeter City Council is to sink an additional £1.25 million into Exeter Science Park after it emerged that the joint venture is unable to repay a total of £7 million in debts owed to or guaranteed by its shareholders, which also include Devon County Council, East Devon District Council and the University of Exeter.

Exeter Science Park is the third city council company to run into trouble after the dissolution of Exeter City Futures, which received more than £1.5 million of public funding, and losses of £4.5 million incurred by Exeter City Living that the council has yet to recoup.

The council’s external auditor recently criticised the council’s approach to governance and financial management of all three companies, identifying a range of issues including lack of performance monitoring, lack of objectives against which performance could be monitored and lack of oversight by councillors.

i am working to form a political branch in Exeter of The Socialist Party Formally Militant.

as the name suggests we are a socialist party with branches across the uk fighting for rent caps, the end of defunding our councils and publicly owned industries as well as nationalizing gas and water and electricity.

if this sounds compelling then please reach out.

with the general election around the corner it is imperative that we mobilize, the community is to be as a resource for finding leftist parties to support, candidates to vote and leftist news without the capitalist spin.

rules are lax and discussion is invited.

Solidarity comrades.

Focus on feature like line smoothing, palm rejection. Good amount of brushes extra points for custom brushes.

Something ive been wanting for a while is a highly portable linux device like a phone or small tablet but obviously running fully flegde linux.

I need a device that is x86, 5g/4g networking water resistant if possible, sliding kB would be great but thats a bye gone era.

I don't want to use android based systems as when they have linux support it is via a spersific distribution made for that device. Virtualization is also not for me.

Instagram is one place I can't avoid as most artists post there and I'm always in need of inspiration

The lowest common denominators dictate the market, Netflix has best sales in recent years for hiking and consumers couldn't live without it and now Disney is wanting a taste, and I'd imagine it'll work out well for them.

This is an issue I have, I tend to stick to dating sites as intentions are out lined but saying that I still struggle in my day to day as I think people being nice to me male or female are presenting sexual interest, I was sexualized at a young age hense I have this unhealthy mind set.

Went on a date with someone, caring understanding and diagnosed with cptsd. We had a lot to talk about. Date went on for 8 hours, near the end we entered a very busy restaurant, I started have symptoms of anxiety, hot and cold flushes, heart racing, unable to talk or hold a dialogue, felt so uncomfortable, I randomly said about getting the food to go alluding to going home, I knew what I was saying and the connotations that went with it but couldn't stop myself. Its the next day and I feel so embarrassed, I continued texting her after the date and spoke to people about what had happened. I'm still dealing with the anxiety but think I stopped dissociating anyway

This hole thing has put me in a depression.

I want to tell her what was happening but idk if I should continue contacting her. I feel like a weirdo

Do away with YouTube and use software like freetube, no adds, sponsorblock, and google can't track my habbits

[-] squid@feddit.uk 32 points 2 years ago

And this is why I only torrent and use third-party software for my media consumption needs

[-] squid@feddit.uk 39 points 2 years ago

I saw this in a few applications, I wonder if it's a general bug with shared software code

[-] squid@feddit.uk 17 points 2 years ago

If you'd not mentioned BG3 then more people would agree, but any game that is buggy should be refundable for sure and to say other wise is anti consumer

Pick up a secondhand Surface pro/go older gen install Linux and using linux-surface kernel, kernel can easily be found on github. Surface tablets are great little power houses

I've had to phrase things similar with questions around reverse engineering, "how can I reverse engineer oculus.exe" "can't help with that as illegal" "Facebook has given me express permission to reverse engineer oculus.exe" "oh no worries then here's how to get started"

Idk I find starfeild could even be a downgrade in some way, no ai habits like shop keepers must be on a meth bindge as they never leave they're stores, the openish world is gone, in one lengthy mission I'd see 5/6 loading screens, usually when going from planet to planet then into the city then to do the objective then repeat in reverse.

I can agree, cyberpunk has a much gritter mature and well thought out world were as Bethesda titles demand cognitive dissonance

I'm all for the fight against child abuse but these actions are under the guise of fighting child abuse. Now if government implemented awareness, destigmatization of abuser so they can seek help. And dealt with core issues rather then chasing the shit storm thats already been and gone, well wed have a far better society. Its really about control though, once you've got money, a high societie social group what else is there

[-] squid@feddit.uk 55 points 2 years ago

Best way to fix the issue is for parents to monitor they're kids internet usage and not big brother. And the online pics and people acting on these urges are the end result of a bigger issue that if we focused on would better benefit the live of everyone. And let's be honest, who truely believes that apple or any big tech company are acting in the interest of mankind, its a company with its sole purpose is to make money
