I used to watch Colbert back when I was more of a lib must have been like 2015 or 2016 but I outgrew him after like 2-3 years.

Powerfantasy is amazing but conceptually also a very different story.

Stellaris: Nomads includes:

Nomadic Empires: Create empires that are not bound by claiming systems or colonizing worlds. Instead, you will navigate the stars with massive Arkships.

The Arkship: Your capital, your cradle, and your fortress. This massive, fully upgradable wonder replaces traditional Worlds for your empire. Choose between three different options to fully reflect the vision of your government:

Military Class: A mobile flagship designed to project power.

Scientific Class: A roaming laboratory dedicated to the discovery of the Galaxy’s secrets.

Civilian Class: An industrial hub capable of unparalleled resource extraction.

The Wayline Network: Your trail through the void. By constructing Waystations, you create Waylines - lasting interstellar trade routes that harvest resources you can claim with a simple pass through. These routes benefit both you and settled empires, making you the pivot point of mercantile possibilities in the Galaxy.

The Contract System: As a nomadic empire, perform task-driven interactions with other empires to earn favor, resources, and influence. As a settled empire, issue these Contracts and get things done!

Origins

Voidfarers: The standard origin for Nomadic Empires. A flexible, streamlined start for you to define your own nomadic journey.

Heirs of the Khan: Play as the successor of a murdered Khan, as you evade marauder hit-squads through trickery and bribery until you are strong enough to return to reclaim your throne.

The Sacred Path: Guide a fleet of pilgrims towards ancestral holy sites in a galactic pilgrimage. Your journey is a spiritual odyssey fueled by faith.

Forever Cruise: Manage a society split between a pampered elite demanding new entertainment and sightseeing opportunities from their vista lounges, and an overworked crew keeping the dream afloat.

Nomadic empires support many existing Origins as well.

New Ambition: Defender of the Galaxy

New Megastructure: The Stellar Cannon

Nomadic Enclave: Champion’s Forge Live!

Wanderlust Ascension Perk

New Renowned Nomadic Paragons

New Civics and Tradition Swaps

New Music Tracks by Andreas Waldetoft

Its really good. Six factions, different game modes like Arena, Classic, Single Hero and Scenarios, plus a campaign. At the moment only campaign Act 1 is available, but that is already 10+ hours. I think there are also hotseat and multiplayer modes. There is a ladder as well which I have not tried yet. Some of the music is really nice and I like the colorful art style. Each faction also has around 18 heroes with different skills.

Each of the factions feels pretty unique and has 7 units . Each of the 7 units has 2 upgraded version with different stats and / or skills.

The game was really hard at release, but they hotfixed that so easy and normal are now doable for noobs like me.

The only thing missing (for me) at the moment is proper team modes and co-op, but that is currently the developers number one priority.

Reviews are very positive at around 89 percent as of writing, and the game seems to have a bright future ahead, with over 500,000 copies sold in just a couple of days. Long-term support is basically guaranteed.

All of this is coming from someone who does not have much nostalgia for the series beyond playing Heroes 5 a bit. Even a lot of the grognards seem to agree that this is the best entry in the series in a very long time

What the title says. I like the game but I suck at it. I think I have a decent understanding of Crusader Kings 3 and Stellaris but have failed to grasp the nuances of Vicky 3. Especially the economy and how to make the most out of it. Im asking cause I wanna play it with the new update that launches on Tuesday. I tried Brazil but went bankrupt. Nation recommendations are welcome as well.

Any tips and inputs are welcome :3 TALLYHO

Its out. A new game from Poncle the folks behind the original Vampire Survivors, which basically spawned the modern “bullet heaven” genre and gave us gems like Halls of Torment and Soulstone Survivors.

If you are curious there is a demo and the progress of the demo carries over to the full game on steam. The game itself is a deckbuilding dungeoncrawler its out on bascially any platform. Dont let the deckbuilding aspect discourage you. Give the demo a try and you should be able to tell if you like it in an hour at most.

From what I heard poncle plans to keep supporting this game for quite a while similar to OG Vampire survivors.

I only played it for 2h but I already like it quite a bit.

Thought this was quite helpful to get into the right mindset for optimizing your Star Nations economy, its more about how to approach the different elements of the economy than just a tutorial.

Esoteric Ebb - Demo out Now ! (store.steampowered.com)

So this is one of these games heavily inspired by disco elysiums gameplay. Afaik there is no connection to ZA/UM or the original devs. This is just an indie game that takes notes from Disco Elysium. You play as a cleric in a dnd style setting afaik the setting seems more fairytale and whimsical rather than dark or serious.

There is currently a pretty lengthy demo - the full release is already net week Tuesday.

Im gonna take a look at the demo and probably play the full game next week.

So Ive been on Fedora with KDE for over three weeks now. Its good. I like it. I started dabbling in Linux last year with a Mint / Windows 11 dual-boot setup. After some consideration, I decided to fully switch to Fedora to make better use of my cutting-edge modern hardware (though I think Mint is great for older hardware).

The other main reason I switched to Fedora with KDE is that one of my best friends works in IT and has been using Fedora for over 10 years. Having someone just a phone call away who can help me troubleshoot is awesome. Overall Im really happy with the Fedora system. Ive tested over 50 games and all of them run pretty much straight out of the box on Steam.

I mainly use this machine for gaming, but I might try my hand at content creation in the future. If you have any input or tips, feel free to share them with the class ^^

I think this is free (content) update nr 40 since the game launched . I wouldnt be suprised if we hit 50 before they stop support.
