Don't do SteamOS for a computer you're planning to use for normal shit, it can do it but it's designed for the deck and console configurations. Any 'normal' distro has access to steam and the Proton compatibility layer that can make your games work.

for picking a distro you should think of a few tasks you regularly do and need to do on your computer and search the distro e.g. "Mint" "task not working", or "how to". the distro with understandable and active advice for your usecases is the best one.

The Song and Tang were impressive for their time but I think the scale and organization of the Ming and Qing are underappreciated and blemished by the dramatic declines. I'd be okay choosing either I just like Ming fashion a bit better.

the lighting in fallout 4 is so weird, i didn't want to install the enb cause the open-source shaders for New Vegas and Skyrim are cooler but even with all the non-enb gadgets you still get this kind of glow on everything that makes nights uncanny. in lit interiors i could just-about get enb-level but the worldspace has something wack going on

relatedly, it's very funny how there's a rift in the f4 modding community between the "Next-Gen" patch and curmudegeons who refused to use it since they needed to change some things. It's basically like Skyrim Special Edition but it was free for everyone who has the game, and people still refuse to update and enjoy the way more stable and optimized version.
