And where are you from? And how old? Not "do you" but just if you know how.

I'm in the US, mid 30s and can (and do) drive a manual transmission.

Yes, the Finnish Bureau of Investigation

Little bit of a strange article.

First, it's about data transfer speeds. I don't think... anyone else in my extended family, and certainly none of the iPhone users, use a cable to transfer data frequently.

But more importantly - the subtitle of the article says that only the pro models offer faster charging speeds. Despite the article being exclusively about data transfer speeds.

Speed has not been the reason to get a manual for a long time.

No, they knew exactly what employees wanted. They just didn't expect them to actually leave over it.

If you know that, then you would know it wasn't written from scratch...

This isn't Reddit, there's no account-wide tracking of special Internet points to worry about.

I've been using inoreader and decided to move to something local instead of cloud based. I found feeder and it is decent, but has one major annoyance for me. The "compact" view that gives you the title and a short blurb gives you uneven rows, and the other options (card and super compact) do not offer the same info.

Are there any other FOSS (or even just local, not cloud based, apps) that have what I'm looking for? I'm happy to pay a few bucks, I just don't want features locked behind a subscription.

So I'm your husband and my wife is you. I can tell you the reason I do it is that it can be difficult for me to necessarily formulate exactly what I want to say about what I want to show you. I want to share whatever experience it is, but trying to explain exactly why stresses me out.

On the flip side my wife will just tell me what she saw after the fact and I'm left there thinking "...why didn't you tell me to come look."

This is my biggest problem with it. I have no issue with Sync charging. I have an issue with Sync charging and not passing anything on to the developers of Lemmy.

To be honest I didn't really care about the API thing because I used the web interface anyway. But the fact that they had this outrage from users and their answer was "LOL who cares" made me leave.

If you still have a fridge or oven that takes incandescent bulbs, isn't it better to replace the bulb than the fridge? If the point is minimal environmental impact then I think that makes sense.

Is there a way to enable browser notifications on lemm.ee? I'm on Firefox for Android if it matters. Lemmy.world prompted me for permission the first time I received a notification over there, but I did not see anything here.

The steam deck controls are honestly too important for me to consider anything else. The fact that I can play mouse and keyboard games with no issues is huge.

Odd ask, I know, but is there a way to make a "multi-community" view? To give you a specific example, I am looking at Steam Deck communities and there are two pretty active communities on two different instances. Is there a way to create a view that shows me posts from both (but not just generally merging all my subscribed communities)?

I primarily use Android so an app would be a fine solution if that exists.
