Don't think I've even commented in half of them, let alone recently.

So the Admin most likely had to see my comments elsewhere on Lemmy (probably on the other thread in here), and decide to ban me from 3 communities they don't even mod.

Edit: A look at their mod log explains it, I posted this on Ye Power Trippin' Bastards.

Apparently feddit.org thinks it's okay to police different instances and servers, and to randomly ban users for abusing a genocide denier.

Edit2: It may only be showing 3 due to Lemmy shenanigans.

Lol the Zionists at Feddit.org are trying to blame you because quokk.au decided to defederate over this and they're whining and basically doing the equivalent of accusing a kid of being a "tattle-tale". If they want to defederate quokk.au over this I say let them. Everything in that Censure is true and they absolutely deserve that stain on their otherwise squeaky clean record.

I hope they get more Censures and Hesitations as well as Defederations for their disgusting Zionist apologia.

Absolutely PTB all the way.

[-] Draconic_NEO@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 2 days ago

PTB. It seems I was a bit wrong about my assessment that it was only the mods of Europe that were problematic, the admins themselves hold some pretty problematic positions here, and really the instance culture of Feddit.org seems toxic and pro-Zionist leaning.

I kind of which I had learned that before I created an account there but at least I didn't post anything or use it seriously.

welcome to the club buddy

Isn't feddit.org German based? Seems that they're following with the German government's policy of defending Israel at all cost.

[-] technocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 3 days ago

they’re following with the German government’s policy of defending ~~Israel~~ fascism at all cost.

[-] nokturne213@sopuli.xyz 15 points 3 days ago

I thought it was discovered/revealed in the last one of these posts about the instance it is Austrian.

[-] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 days ago

Yup, it shows up as hosted in Austria according to FlagFox.

[-] sunzu2@thebrainbin.org 12 points 3 days ago

It is Austrian based server apparently but the laws are the same and it felt like Germans came out to defend it force with down vote brigade

Maybe they were Austrians who knows but there was a clear faction simping

Any criticism of Israel is illegal mmkay, now let me go guard this camp BC daddy said so 🤡

[-] sunzu2@thebrainbin.org 7 points 3 days ago

If this ain't a mistake as others have pointed out down comment...

This is even more telling than that entire thread. I don't think these are admins so they got some rogue Zionist vermin infesting the server. Maybe ping admins?

In what fucking bizorro world are we living in where supporting Israeli genocide is protected but raging against genoncide and their foreign Zionist "supporters" that's

Well that's just poor decorum 🤡 and "spreading violence"

Either way, it is good we are documenting all this censorship. The place we are all going this will be even more important. As fedi grows, these threat actors will be more active. As public opinion turns against Israeli crimes, hasbara and AiPAC will be working OT to fix it. They got away with it for 80 years so why would they give up.

Lemmy.world, lemmy.ml and feddit.org are a bit too heavy on regime propaganda imho

[-] xyro@lemmy.ca 2 points 3 days ago

Based on multiples agressives comments in your history, seems you deserved the ban

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au 17 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

From a community I don't post in, by an admin who doesn't moderate it, for a comment I didn't make on their server.

You're missing the point bud; My non-existent history in a community I don't post in was not the catalyst here.

This is clearly related to my same time removed post abusing a genocide denier, that itself is telling that they take issue with the insult not the genocide denial.

[-] xyro@lemmy.ca -1 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

I think you're missing the point too pal. Maybe peoples don't want that abuse in their communities neither, so they show you the door preventively.

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au 13 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

So they ban me from only 3 of those communities and not even 3 that they run? That makes zero bloody sense and you know it.

This is half arsed retaliation for abusing a user for genocide denial; feddit.org admins should better spend their time policing their own users actions if they habour such hate speech.

[-] remon@ani.social 14 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

I think that might just be a bug or quirk with the modlog and you were probably instance banned.

Happend to me the other day and it also only showed 2 random community bans in the modlog

[-] Chill_Dan@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Doesn't explain the defending genocide deniers on their instance from bad words elsewhere.

[-] remon@ani.social 7 points 3 days ago

Sadly that's not exclusive to feddit.org. I've seen a certain mod ban people for posting "PTB" in a PTB thread about the very mod ...

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au 3 points 3 days ago
[-] xyro@lemmy.ca -3 points 3 days ago

You assume it's the same person that manage both, I don't know that.

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au 7 points 3 days ago

I saw who the admin was, it's not the mod of any of those single 3 communities I was banned from. Nor is the feddit.org user who reported it a moderator of any of those single 3 communities.

[-] xyro@lemmy.ca -5 points 3 days ago

Seems Remon answer make more sense.

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au 11 points 3 days ago

For one irrelevant part, I don't care if it it was 3 communities or the whole site. Either way I think we'll be de-federating from feddit.org if they defend genocide denial, fucking nazi cunts.

[-] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 3 points 14 hours ago

Thank you for this! Isolate those racist nazis.

[-] xyro@lemmy.ca -5 points 3 days ago

I can understand why some people may not want this kind of speech in their community instance. You should be free to argue, not to insult peoples.

[-] Samskara@sh.itjust.works -2 points 2 days ago

This is normal on Lemmy. Mods will ban people as prevention for behavior observed elsewhere.

[-] Opinionhaver@feddit.uk -1 points 3 days ago

Looking at your comment history they're just doing the rest of us a big service.

[-] sunzu2@thebrainbin.org 11 points 3 days ago

I don't need some arbitrary censorship from some clown "authority"... I can block threat actors myself.

This is censorship of content and tone. And you are simping for it. Pathetic

This is a community in the spirit of "Am I The Asshole" where people can post their own bans from lemmy or reddit or whatever and get some feedback from others whether the ban was justified or not.

Sometimes one just wants to be able to challenge the arguments some mod made and this could be the place for that.

Posting Guidelines

All posts should follow this basic structure:

  1. Which mods/admins were being Power Tripping Bastards?
  2. What sanction did they impose (e.g. community ban, instance ban, removed comment)?
  3. Provide a screenshot of the relevant modlog entry (don’t de-obfuscate mod names).
  4. Provide a screenshot and explanation of the cause of the sanction (e.g. the post/comment that was removed, or got you banned).
  5. Explain why you think its unfair and how you would like the situation to be remedied.

Rules

Expect to receive feedback about your posts, they might even be negative.

Make sure you follow this instance's code of conduct. In other words we won't allow bellyaching about being sanctioned for hate speech or bigotry.
