Hello, I've been working on this TTRPG since I played my first TTRPG years ago. My goal for it is to be fun with some resource management, very sandboxy, and accessible to new TTRPG players.

I have a 1-shot prepared, but havent had a chance to run it yet. I would also like to start a campaign that lasts a while where we can develop the rules together through playtesting.

Tipping housekeepers is not the norm. You shouldn't feel obligated to tip, ever.

"Refuse to vote neither"

So you're voting both then, I see.

There was a music compilation album called "Ultimate Dance" from 2004 that my family listened to. I maintain a YouTube Playlist with all the songs, some were difficult to track down, being that they are all published before 2004, and many are not of English origin.

I thought it was bigger than that

Yes.

On a forum, I was complaining about a troll and his friend roasting something i made, they responded with a picture of a baby crying. Moderators did nothing. It ruined my week. I was like 16 at the time.

Sounds like you're describing dissociation. I'd talk to a therapist if possible. It might be triggered by trauma or other condition as someone else mentioned.

Despite having a degree, which shows that you can do the job, employers still ignore your application, or reject you.

Now, college students have a thing called loans. Whether or not you have a job, those loan providers still want to be paid.

If the student can't pay the loans, and their family cosigned the loans, but they can't pay it, then thats a LOT of pressure from family, and everyone involved is going to have a bad time.

My degree is in game programming. I rolled a nat 1, I guess, cause all the gaming jobs are abruptly disappearing this year, and I just graduated last year. I've given up on pursuing a job for a game company, for now.

I've been in the red a couple times. I'm barely afloat as it is. During December and January, I was thinking about either suicide, or abandoning my life. Going on the road.

But I didn't have the strength to really do it.

I'm at about $130,000 in debt. I am working minimum wage. And entry level for my field is 60-90k.

You can imagine how gutwrenching it might be to be that close to having a liveable income, when you were raised poor, and you've only had minimum wage jobs your whole life. Now I'm back at a minimum wage job, and I have to pay ~$1000 a month in just school loans.

So...I can relate.

Where is that money going, I wonder

Actually, it was always capitalism.

I'm unbiased towards the subject. I'm genuinely curious about how long-term FOSS ideology would work.

I'm using FOSS but I'd still consider myself a casual user. It seems like most FOSS I've seen is a free, buggy, alternative to mainstream software, which resolves a problem the user had.

From my perspective, (and do correct me if I'm wrong) FOSS doesnt seem sustainable. Everyone can contribute, but how do they make a living? My guess is they do other things for income. And what about the few contributors who do 90% of the work?

What if every software became FOSS? Who would put in the free labor to write the software to print a page, or show an image on screen, or create something more complex like a machine learning advanced AI software?

Would it simply be that everyone provides for each other? Everyone pitches in? What about people who have bills to pay? Would their bills be covered?

This concludes my right-before-bed psychology inquiry.

What is the best skill you possess that makes you stand above the average person?

Anthro does not have to mean furry. You can still like them without being a furry

[-] Oka@lemmy.ml 34 points 1 year ago

Relatable. I was relieved I wouldn't be doomscrolling anymore. Then i found Lemmy, which works as a doomscroll sometimes, ut also goes down or goes slow randomly, forcing me to do something else.

I've found that I'm also browsing (old-school) forums now to fill the time.
