I forgot about the gesture to pull down the notification bar. The was far superior. I could reach in to my pocket and have the phone unlocked before I even see the screen

agreed! being able to unlock the phone while im pulling it out of my pocket was great. But the one place that fails is a phone sitting on a surface. i say give me two sensors! One one on the back and one under screen

Well I totally borked my ZigBee network, and it looks like I'll need to factory reset and re-pair everything. I ignored the warning, and attempted a channel change. Lost everything and can't get any device to connect.

So since I need to do this, what is everyone's preference of ZHA vs Z2M? I was on ZHA, but am I missing anything on the other side?

Next DIY NAS (lemmy.ml)
submitted 9 months ago by monty33@lemmy.ml to c/selfhosted@lemmy.world

Hi all,

I am looking at building my next NAS. My current will move to offsite, and the new will be primary. I previously used this motherboard, and was planning to go with that again. Then I saw this one, which seems like a better option. It has a slightly better CPU and a PCIe slot, but can only have 32GB memory max compared with 64GB max on my current.

Am I missing anything or is this a no-brainer to switch to the N100 board?

Sorry I can't help with your question, but I wanted to ask what features you feel Jellyfin is missing that is keeping you on Plex? I've made the switch, and actually like Jellyfin better.

What do you mean by that? How does one make it slow?

[-] monty33@lemmy.ml 10 points 10 months ago

Wow this is incredible, and I will be making the switch! This was the only unavailable feature that I couldn't go without.

Just went through this myself and settled on DIY build. Someone recommended this video, and I followed it very closely. The built was so easy and less expensive than off the shelf. I installed TrueNAS on it and couldn't be happier.

Can someone remind me of where I can go to send some $$$ to aeharding? Posting here to both get an answer and help others find the link.

That is a good point, but if it's not Firefox like my pixel is telling me, then what else could it be on a brand new phone? (I know you can't answer this)

Android Auto is the big one for me that does not work on graphene. If they can find a way to get that to work I'd switch immediately.

I've got a brand new Pixel 8 and my battery isn't making it through the day. Android tells me Firefox is eating it up in the background. I just changed it to restricted battery use and I'll see if that helps.

I do not want to switch to Brave or Chrome, but this is intolerable. What are you favorite Firefox alternatives and why? Mull? Librewolf?

I believe your characterization of the developers is unfair. This appears to be an isolated incident by a single developer, and to take that and paint a picture of the entire team as dickholes isn't right. I'm not even sure judging this individual by his worst day is fair, but that is up to you.
