Use a virtual credit card when signing up for subscription services. Set the recurring amount at just enough to cover the trial amount, and then once the subscription fee goes up it'll notify you if you wish to continue paying for it. You can increase the limit if you want to keep the service, or just let the card decline until the service is cancelled. Most credit cards have virtual cards as an option, but I also use app.paywithextend.com

That's literally what For Profit prisons are designed for. And it's constitutionally legal:

"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

For the record, that's fucked up.

Keys - Jeep Gladiator with Threedom Key Fob Mod, Gerber Shard, Random Keychain Spinner

Wallet - Ridge Carbon Fiber 3k

Vape Pen - Boulder Rock, currently running Bad Drips Drooly

Watch - Perpetual movement with exposed interior. No clue the brand, no markings or indications anywhere and it was a gift

Knife - Kershaw Scallion with Fossilized Mammoth Tooth Handle

Fidget - Dual Gear Bike Chain Spinner

Before you ask "isn't it super to be every day carry, yuk, yuk?", I'm just gonna jump out ahead of it:

Well, technically speaking, every day is inclusive of today. I may very well carry these items with me at all times, with no deviation, and would still be correct by submitting a new post with the title Today's Every Day Carry.

I interpret Every Day Carry to mean that we all carry basically the same stuff every day. But what do you have today.

My EDC is: phone, keys, wallet, watch, knife, fidget, vape, guitar pick. Sharing the variations of our own EDC is what makes this interesting and fun. It provides some personal insight into another individual that you'll probably never meet, who could be living anywhere in the world, living a life completely differently from your own.

Is the any way to add something like this to my pihole to block all this shit network wide?

[-] mouth_brood@lemmy.one 19 points 1 year ago

I don't disagree that they should make some money for their efforts, but isn't every client for lemmy made by a single developer?

Well, let's do some quick math. Let's count billable hours in a day with a minimum billable hour being 1 hour. If you work a 6 hour work day, and can complete the average task in 15 minutes, that works out to 24 possible billable hours in one day accounting for a total of 90 minutes of actual work.

So yeah, on paper it's actually really easy to "work" 100 hours per week

I'm not being disingenuous, it's a statistic I looked up not too long ago when I was digging into something else. I couldn't care less what someone's sexual orientation or gender identity is. I am just making an observation based on my knowledge that the marginalized group being referred to is appropriately, and probably overrepresented in public.

Maybe I'm in a bubble living in one of the most liberal places in the country, but I see representation on TV, while shopping, in print media, on lemmy (formerly reddit), etc.

The OP is making a claim that there needs to be more representation based on the opinion of a old timer that is clearly conservative. No amount of representation is going to change that person's mind.

this is a problem that we've all created

You mean this is a problem that the boomers and gen x created. THEY are the generations that controlled the corporations whose only concern was profit. THEY are the generations that pushed consumerism with no regard to the natural world. THEY are the generations that elected the politicians that allowed this all to happen. So here come the millennials and zoomers to clean up their mess, just like everything else they fucked up for the rest of us.

That is the fakest shit I've ever read

I'm still figuring out what happens when settings are changed in stablediffusion. Tonight I played with sampling. With a really basic prompt, I increased the sampling by 1 going all the way to the max of 150, keeping everything else exactly the same. The results were interesting.

Note: I uploaded them in order, not sure why imgur changed that around. The number under the photo is the number of samples
