Govt easily has enough majority to ignore this, I said this when everyone was going it is time for Labour to have a go at the GE. Same govt is making it OK for 16 and 17yr old to vote but they have to be age checked on the tinternet....

I have to say I think Peertube itself is good, but the content still isn't there yet. Of course we all know that's because there isn't cash to be made on Peertube

The real irony is people on facebook moaning about their data being used...

Cloudflare won't connect to a port number that high. Drop it down to say 2536 and you will be fine

And... I never said anything about that. If you do something, there are consequences. Those consequences vary but when it is a large sum of money quite often the consequences are disproportionate to the crime (and we can all agree it is a crime, in the literal sense)

they already exist with things like linktree. I run a links service called linkstack but I have to say I don't see many people using these services really...

But here we are with that being the status quo. I despise thieves who believe it is ok to steal things that people have worked hard, not necessarily in a monetary way to get things. And supporting them shows a complete lack of empathy. I pity you for that

Hahahahaha - keep telling yourself that. Until the insurance fails to pay out and you're homeless, with zero possessions and everybody doesn't care

I'm pretty sure if someone stole everything you own you'd see it differently

Not a fan of Amazon in any way shape or form, but for some purchases here in the UK they are simply miles ahead of other firms. Latest purchase by me, though not paid for by me is 2 x batteries for my wifes mobility scooter. 20% cheaper than anywhere else, took 1 week to arrive (not bad, not the best) but was so easy to order without all the hassle other solutions involve. We have a prime account still as there is some streaming stuff we also like to watch. Still (just) more pros than cons

Microsoft has confirmed it is to axe another 9000 with its continued push into AI. I just find it incredible because for me AI is NOT the answer in any way shape or form.....

Is the Fediverse stalling? (lemmy.relayeasy.com)

I'm genuinely interested in people thoughts about the Fediverse because here in the UK it has massively stalled in 2025, like a lot of things. I am seeing way less posts from UK people and way less interaction and general use in fact. Most seem to have stopped social media use to be fair, and I know a lot of that is to do with my age (old fart here, 56 laps round sun and counting) but the numbers game look poor from my point of view. Do we think the Fediverse has a future now after useage appears to be going downwards? Is it a UK thing? (well I know the UK is weird but hey)
