Being a proud maritime nation, sure we should be celebrating this by having each denomination of note show a different famous vessel?

£5 is Boaty McBoatface.

Keir eagerly awaiting Trump's load? Farage wiping his arse with the country?

[-] leraje@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 9 hours ago

Oh the options are endless...Liz Kendall in an SS uniform machine-gunning a load of disabled people, Yvette Cooper in a Suffragette tee laughing as a load of anti-genocide supporters get arrested for holding signs, Keir Starmer taking a shit on the UK whilst Farage stands off to one side loosening his belt ready to go next.

Me neither, but that just provides us with an objective look at what's clearly best, free of encumbering sentiment.

I like the Bermudian idea of using flora and fauna to capture a country’s distinctive identity. A shift like this would show that we’re not trapped in tradition.

Exactly. A spectral lion, dragon, and unicorn in the background. In the foreground, a bulldog wearing mirrored steampunk goggles on a surfboard doing an aerial off a cresting wave with a fancy caption beneath him reading "Britannia rules the waves!" The mirrored goggle lenses are where the shiny anti-counterfeiting hologram goes.

Also, get Jessica Borutski to do the draft. She did a Canada logo a while back.

The Bude Tunnel surely, who could deny that pinnacle of human achievement?

Paddington, and David Tennant as Doctor Who.

[-] HumanPenguin@feddit.uk 5 points 10 hours ago

David Tennant as paddington might be more fun.

How about renditions of the movie Threads? That seems the most optimistic projection for the UK's future on its current path.

How about this? On the front, an image of Charles signing a decree condemning trans women as pedophiles. On the back, a painting of an obese King Charles furiously masturbating to child pornography while an anti-genocide protester is chained naked in the same bed. That's the truest representation of the UK I can think of right now.
