This is the response I normally get as well, which infuriates me to no end, because it isn't an actual reason, it is ultimately their decision, and I feel like they are making a mistake out of laziness or perceived comfort.
They shouldn't start with arch if they don't want to learn how the system works, endeavor os or cachy os would be my go to's for arch
If that is what was meant, this is nothing new, server hosts have had this information and more for ages, and your gamertag is by no means priveledged information. I am having trouble trying to figure out how this change affects my willingness to play on cross play servers, as others have pointed out however I would be wary of compromised devices with privelidged data like banks or HR which I realistically have no way to protect myself from.
There are two massive hoops as far as I am concerned, no local account & ms office forcing the use of one drive. I know these arent that big of an issue for most people, but I will never do either of those things.
It is actually surprisingly stable nowadays, the core system has become very meticulously maintained which means 9/10 times if you encounter an issue it won't brick the system and you only lose access to some package or program until it is fixed

He is probably referring to the small amount of nuclear waste that is actually produced per watt of power, it is a lot more dangerous if you are in direct contact, but it is surprisingly easy to store safely, and remove all environmental impact. The biggest environmental issue with nuclear is the mining and enriching, both of which are realistically too small to factor in.

If you want up to date office stuff your only option is the web version, and if up to date doesn't matter to you you might as well switch to something that runs natively since you'll have to deal compatibility issues anyway.
I haven't tested it, but I have heard that the web version doesn't even have very good compatibility with the local version which seems like it should be a focus for Microsoft considering a lot of people are paralyzed by the switch to Linux due to compatibility issues with only a select few apps, Ms office being one of them.
While I agree with your assertion in theory, I cannot agree that windows doesn't mess with grub. I have had 5 different issues with grub being overwritten, 1 was because windows and Linux were on the same drive, but the other 4 was simply because I launched windows through grub.
My advice for people dual booting is to never launch windows through grub and instead change your boot order in bios, this has made all of my boot related issues go away.
I will take his idiocy over the next in line any day, he is flip flopping constantly which slows him down from actually accomplishing villainy, while I fear Vance would be incredibly more directed and thus far more vile.
