You know what to expect here.

I enjoyed it, burned through all four. I had read The Realm of the Elderling series by Robin Hobb and decided to take a break from the more traditional fantasy. Did Mistborn, then Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, before getting into the Bobiverse. PHM into Bobiverse was a pretty seamless transition. I've since moved back to traditional fantasy, because I like my reading to be as exclusive of real life as possible.

I haven't had a good time in years.

Yut. Feel like drinking is damaging enough, but then getting up (or just remaining up) to PT the next day is also probably not very good for you. But it was what had to be done.

Radio Flyer was something when I watched it as a kid. Came for the flying wagon, stayed for chuck chuck bo buck, and was impacted emotionally by the abuse along the way. Some flick.

Don't forget North!

I was kidding around, it's a silly leap, and the post is silly, so I was just suggesting something silly myself. Someone else seems to have done the legwork though.

Yeah, I want to pay you directly. I, admittedly, pirate things. When those things are good, I make an effort to go send money to the creator directly. Sometimes it's hard, especially with things like books. I don't want to buy it on Amazon. And unless someone is self-published, they're getting peanuts. I'd much rather Venmo an author money direct. When Radiohead released In Rainbows way back when and put it out for "pay what you want," I gave them five bucks I think.

I understand it can't always be like that, and that the people between a content creator and me do serve some purpose.

Because it just makes sense. Snap, diarrhea. It's simple.

I feel like the Bobiverse handled this well, in that any super intelligent computer would immediately look at us and desire to fuck right off to outer space.

Hey, I made a bunch off a penny stock once time. Ignore that I've invested in penny stocks more than once.

For real. Middle class was a low but comfortable bar back in 1987 when I was born. My parents went above and beyond having two incomes, one of them being a small business. I do essentially the same thing as my mom small business wise, and my wife makes arguably more than my old man dad, but the thought of doubling our starter home (or even moving out of it) just hasn't crossed my mind.

And we also had kids about three years later on average than my folks did (though compared to my wife's folks, about five years earlier).

The '90s were fucking awesome (except for the acid rain, shit had me spooked in first grade when they played the laser disc about it).

MilkDrop is the best visualizer out there, hands down. Been using it forever at this point, and the crazy part is every so often I see some visualization that I've never seen before.

A technical disaster, but sure, I'll keep coming back. Can't wait to reminisce about the days when it was a technical disaster, though.

Also, posted from my PC, because doing anything on Jerboa has proven impossible.

Love to see it, and I want to see more of it. Anyone who did this absolutely deserves what they have coming to them.
