How is this even considered a shower thought?
Didn‘t the western governments boycott Russian trade and put heavy sanctions on them? Why should they protest about something that they agree with?
Israel is a terrorist state that isn’t heavily sanctioned by the west, worse yet, supported by the west.
The west has no values unfortunately and it‘s affecting all of us.
ICC rules only apply to Russia but not to Israel 🤡
A reminder to keep boycotting Kellog’s, Starbucks, McDonald’s and Nestle. :)
I’m on Lemmy due to this!
I literally use this platform just to run from bots and cooperate greed.
Yes me too, I find myself watching movies less and less.
I find myself buying real books, ebooks online and buying vinyls.
I still stream music though, but the thing is, most music that could be found on Spotify, could be found on Apple Music or Deezer.
Ethnic cleansing is their thing ✨
Israel consistently receives an annual aid package of 3 billion dollars from the U.S., a fixed amount regardless of relative peace or conflict. However, due to the ongoing genocide, they're receiving extra funds this year. This parallels a scenario where if I give you 10 dollars, and you spend the same amount on something from me, the financial interaction remains balanced, akin to the U.S.-Israel financial dynamics.
I wish if ad blockers were on option on things like Smart TVs and smartphone, not just on my browser.
And usually the moderators are people who suffer from said mental illnesses, so they know how to manage the community in a way that would be weird for a person who doesn’t suffer from mental illnesses would.
Simply put, a neurodivergent mod is more likely to relate to neurodivergent user than a neurotypical mod would relate to a neurodivergent user.
I agree, a lot of harm could be done if we throw random moderators in these subreddits.
It’s funny how everyone is against using AI for students to get summaries of texts, pdfs etc which I totally get.
But during my time through medschool, I never got my exam paper back (ever!) so the exam was a test where I needed to prove that I have enough knowledge but the exam is also allowed to show me my weaknesses are so I would work on them but no, we never get out papers back. And this extends beyond medschool, exams like the USMLE are long and tiring at the end of the day we just want a pass, another hurdle to jump on.
We criticize students a lot (righfully so) but we don’t criticize the system where students only study becase there is an exam, not because they are particularly interested in the topic at given hand.
A lot of topics that I found interesting in medicine were dropped off because I had to sit for other examinations.
