It’s a little more interesting than this even. Your brain knows the stair riser heights after 2-3 steps, so individual stairs can be different riser heights, 125-200mm (5-8”). Each riser can’t be more than 3mm different in an individual stair. Not uncommon for your upper stairs to be slightly different from the bottom if there’s a landing.

So those people do consciously need to remember step 15 is different or they can trip. The rest would be pretty normal.

Well next time pay closer attention yourself, they are either firmly mounted, or they are designed to be very noticeable or untribable, like with backs on them.

You haven’t noticed it, because of the codes and standards, but of course negligence can always happen, like someone moving a bench (which shouldn’t be movable in a place with children) and put it where it shouldn’t be.

Also, you think your daycare is gonna admit they moved something and let your kid trip? Nah, they’ll blame the kid instead of wanting their business to look bad. Anyone who’s been around kids know have a very good memory as well, so when they trip over something, it probably wasn’t there 5 minutes ago as well.

This situation would be more where it was placed if it wasn’t mounted. Probably not a good place if it’s right outside an exit for example.

I mean at the same time we also have very strict building codes and are told to not place stuff where it creates tripping hazards.

In a flight of stairs, if even one step is off 1/8 of an inch or 3mm, it can cause someone to trip. The steps would be very valid to blame, so circumstances matter too.

Nothing too special, just some misting nozzles and some pvc.

The beds are 4x12’ with the heads spaced every 1’ starting and ending 2’ from the end.

Planted about 4 years ago, and gets dead headed every year. It started out as a multi coloured plant, down to just the one colour now.

So I bought some wildflower mixture, and they recommend to thin/blend with sand so you can see where you broadcast and go see it easier. So I took one step further and added clover as well.

I have 2 wildflower mixes, 10gs of each, I know it’s probably not enough to get a dense lawn, but that’s also why I thinned it clover that I’ve already started turning the lawn over to.

So I took about 1/2 of one of wildflower packets and mixed it with 1 scoop of clover seed and 5 scoops of play sand. Gonna broadcast my entire front lawn, ther grass isn’t too tall yet, although I should mow to the lowest setting first.

Anyways follow along for updates on this adventure!

Spent the day playing around with little bolts to put this together. Should extend my growing window by a month, won’t be able to extend end of season I think though.

Still not out of the woods for frost, but I transplanted the non hardened broom corn and planted some more seeds with them. I also transplanted a couple Marigold and Nasturtium starts with some seeds as well.

I left some space between the tall ornamental grasses as I’ve gotten a cold frame to install on the block above this narrow bed.

Uhh isn’t progressing to electric cars… science progressing to help solve the issue? What a strange train of thoughts.

Fry means to cook with oil.

You have pan frying, deep frying, shallow frying, they all have additional descriptors, and you can usually infer the type from the product. You can always say deep fried chicken, but that’s also assumed when you say “fried chicken” already. If it’s fried different you would maybe say “pan fried chicken” instead.

Reality is often disappointing.

Not every group is going to adapt and react the same way though. It’s not out of the realm of possibilities for the lord of the flies situation to happen, but what’s the rate. 10%? 1%? 50%?

Partly the issue with N=1 statistics.

Their lawyers tie you up with a lot of legal fees trying to get you to defend it, if you don’t they take you to court for a frivolous suit.

Either way they win and you lose, even if you’re right.

I don’t see it playing out positive unfortunately.

Nah in a lot of cases the guy doing the bare minimum also makes more than you.

Funny how it’s probably averaged out over 12 months instead or something.
