Oh, I just finally watched this for the first time. If your interested, I wrote my thoughts but you can skip that if your just looking for a good Christmas movie then do it. Out of six or so I have watched, this definitely was my favorite.
It takes an hour and a half to swap a pixels battery if you have all the right tools.
Google is not embracing repairability. They are doing just enough to say they are doing something.
Sincerely, my Pixel.
The bastards barely started selling it a few years ago. I feel like some responsibility should exist. It isn't a company that is going under, so it shouldn't be able to just casually kill the devices tied-service it only recently sold.
I know celebrities aren't always where we should focus but this guy exudes passion and I'm interested in this. Thanks, OP.
It looks more like multiple companies were needed to pin the individual. I don't expect any company to not comply with legal requests. My understanding is this is why it's important to know what information a company retains.
For my own use, I have used Proton just to mitigate being a source of ad info and to get better service. I'm not interesting enough to overthrow anything.
If I understand right, it is tracking work software. So work PCs. I had already assumed anything in a work setting can be used against me. It doesn't make it right, but this won't change my behavior. I already assume corpo-degeneracy is afoot anytime I touch work-tech.
Nobody is winning here long-term. Microsoft is growing its subscription service and every step is with that in mind. Getting people to buy their games now, like Starfield, is likely seen as closing the gap a little more towards encouraging that.
Like all of these things, it will be great and a value at first and then a squeeze for more money with less offerings. People en masse will say they won't be a part of it, and then record profits (like Netflix right now) will be shown.
Not all is doom and gloom though. Indie games are rapid fire releasing, Linux is growing due to Valve and Chromebooks, and I found a ten dollar bill in my pocket this morning.
I'm mostly frustrated with always online games. They remain the enemy for longevity and nonsense outside of the MMO space.
Since everyone else is piling on negatively, I appreciated your friendly reminder.
I think they rebuilt the game in Unity. I do know they say to not go with the one on GoG as it is outdated. I only learned about the whole thing yesterday.
For anyone new to this, Mac regularly talks about their efforts in gaming and then regularly does little for it. What's the alternative, say aloud that gaming isn't anywhere near a priority for you?
Ask to watch them pee.
You went weird real quick.
I got to play D&D in my first meaningful multi-session way this year.
I loved how much I got tossed around for trying to use tricks and the like instead of combat.
We also did a one-shot of Alien. I crashed the ship right away, failing like 5 roles to ease the damage, and then in our first encounter died to shrapnel while hiding in a bush. A player left early so I took theirs over and was the only player to die at all, and twice.
I love a DM who isn't pushing me to fail but also isn't going to have the NPCs not take logical steps. It was some of the most fun I've had.
