This is why we need good public transit on top of good biking infrastructure. The two working together let's you get anywhere a car can go while not taking a lot longer.
Don't know anything about newer Chromecast but I really love my older one. Its just a dumb stick with no apps built in that I can cast stuff from my phone to. The only recent annoying thing with it is that the YouTube app changed the behaviour when you're connected, so now instead of tapping on a video to bring up a menu asking whether to play it now or add it to the queue it now just defaults playing it now when you tap on it. Makes setting up a queue of videos really annoying now cause you have to tap on the three dots to add it to the queue now.
Yeah its almost like if we didn't keep extending copyright protections a bunch of stuff would be in the public domain and any streaming service could offer it without having to deal with licensing.
As a gen z this confuses me, I have a wallet and most people around my age also have one. Sure maybe you could say if they carry cash or not cause I definitely don't carry cash but I still have my wallet cause theres a lot of places that don't accept phone payments.
One reason for this is these shows don't tend to show the morally questionable things a resistance has to do to be able to win. So it's a lot easier to side with the resistance in Star Wars when they're just fighting conventionally against the empire. I think a much better depiction of resistance can be seen in Star Trek Deep Space Nine with the Bajorans. They fought the Cardasians in a guerilla war which often led to civilians on both sides being killed. It's a lot more murky but the Bajorans are still unequivocally viewed as the good guys since it was the only way to resist and get rid of the Cardasians and stop them from killing their people.
Honestly this is a nice feature for some kinds of shows. Sometimes I don't want to watch a show from the beginning in order for certain kinds of shows. The only problem is this feature is coming as streaming services are fracturing and becoming less and less usable.
Yes but at the same time Unreal doesn't really compete with Unity at all when it comes to 2D games. Unreal is primarily meant for 3D games and maybe you could make a 2D one work in it but Unity has a lot more resources for 2D games. That's why games like this switched to Godot instead of Unreal cause Unreal wasn't really an option. I could be wrong but when Ive made some projects in Unreal it didn't really seem to have any options for 2D games like Unity has.
It wasn't just Russia who was saying that wasn't gonna happen, basically everyone outside the US thought it wouldn't happen cause it would be a really stupid thing to do. Then it turned out they did it and it was really stupid and I think a lot of people were surprised the US was telling the truth and it wasn't just fearmongering.
Wouldn't it still be true then cause you wouldn't want to go to something that's boring and draining? I mean at least personally I don't feel anxious about going out to events and stuff but I more just don't feel motivated to cause staying home by myself sounds nice. Especially if it's something that doesn't sound that fun. But once I actually go I'm fine except for it being tiring after a while. I mean at the end of the day it does probably vary from person to person cause humans are complex.
I mean the problem isn't whether they taught cursive or not, it's whether you actually use it or not. Cause I was taught cursive in school but barely know how to write it now cause I never have to use it.
I think they have pretty recently finally become profitable thanks to the increased amount of ads. Although you could always make the argument before that the data YouTube provides to Google that allowed their ad and data empire to thrive is invaluable whether YouTube directly profits or not.
I feel like this is just the next level of what Reagan did to cripple the government. You make it so they can't do their job effectively then use the fact that it's not efficient anymore as the reason to get rid of it all.
