I disagree. Without Frtiz Haber inventing nitrogen fertilizer there wouldn't even be people to do unskilled labor.

This class battle has to stop. All economic fields are productive given that the market is valuing it. What's not productive is corruption and hoarding and middle manager fiddling. We have science to determine all that so we don't even need to gut feel this out.

Someone researching "transgender mice" can low key add more value than thousands or millions of "unskilled laborers". We need to diversify and value all avenues of our collective production and growth because thats just a smart thing to do. Except for billionaires and hoarders which clearly are a net negative.

It's funny how far ahead 3d printers are in terms of consumer experience, everything is open, everything works and the tech is like 300 times more complex.

2D printer companies should be shamed to death.

Shouldn't there be some sort of baseline of sanity for community moderators? This dude is straight up pushing non-stop propaganda of his flavoring and deletes anything that he doesn't like of https://lemmy.world/c/latestagecapitalism the mod log is very transparent and if that's not power tripping I don't know what is.

It's incredible how long Apple has gotten a pass which makes me wonder why are they so protected.

Alabaster Dawn is an Action RPG that builds on the best aspects of Radical Fish Games’ previous title, CrossCode. It features a deep combat system, challenging puzzles, and a mysterious world teeming with secrets, all bundled up in an engaging story. The shadow of Nyx has fallen—warping the world into a wasteland and vanishing the gods and their people. Now, Juno the Outcast Chosen, awakes to an impossible task: bring it all back.

Every day it feels like we're getting closer to battery revolution. It really makes you wonder how different the world will be once we have these incredible batteries actually working at consumer level.

I'm just perplexed how kids are still religious in 2024 with vast amount of free information out there. I thought this cult bullshit was about to end with my generation when we got free, unrestricted information exchange invented.

I guess you can't fix irrationality with rationality huh

Is this the first AI generated movie or something?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that's basically what they say in every address since forever? I'm not saying there are no tensions but this is not something new or even recent.

I'm confused why Kotaku mentioning next gen in the title when Rockstar only commented on current generation PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

I'm so disappointed with the global status this shithole maintains. They are spending so much money on bots and propaganda that if you look at Twitter, Tiktok or Instagram it's full of organic spam and any comments calling out this disgusting place get removed or piled on.

People who have never experience good public transport don't know what they're missing tbh. When I lived in Japan for a few months I could get around the whole city without much planning. It was so freeing not having to think about transportation. I think public transportation + last mile assistance (e-scooters, e-bikes etc.) is by far the most efficient an free transportation experience out there.

The fact that "mommy, what's a ?" future is becoming a reality should be a fucking emberassment for all of us. Yet no one will pause their fish consumption because "it's tasty". The earth is being killed for literal entertainment.

the argument for .ml domain has always been absurd to begin with. So it's free but the price you pay is that it's being run by Mali. I'd just drop 8$/year tbh, that's not a hill you want to die for. Also you harm your project by being SEO punished for using spam-associated TLDs like this. One of the reasons original Lemmy took so long to adopt until Reddit's API drama. Pretty dumb ngl.
