Hey everybody, I'm looking for the best Android apps using the todo.txt format.

On desktop I like Sleek and I hope to find a fitting app for Android.

(NOT looking for general todo apps but specifically todo.txt apps)

I'm using "Top 6 hours" as my default sorting option but everytime I open the app it's back to "Hot".

Is this just a bug for me or a known issue?

Bookmark folders as a built-in solution. The OneTab extension if you'd like a little more advanced features.

You can use Obtainium to get the Updates from Codeberg without having to pull them by hand.

Holy smoke, thanks for taking the time to write this comment. I wasn't aware there are practical implications of using gendered nouns. Learned something new today.

I just don't understand why they moved to discord instead of Lemmy. Discord is just a dumb platform for thread based discussions.

As a non-native speaker I encounter this phrase from time to time (in podcasts and such) and I'd like to understand the use (beside the literal meaning which is obvious).

Why would you say that? or sometimes Why do you say that?

To me, that sounds almost rude, like rebuking the questioner. However, the context usually leads me to conclude that this sentence is to be understood neutrally, in the sense of "I am interested in the background of the question".

How should the sentence usually be used? Or does it depend solely on the tone the phrase is used?

I didn't complain about sync's privacy policy or closed source anywhere. I just think your comment is weird and it's a strange hill you're dying on.

Yeah and we all know that if you're not using a dumb phone and an Unix machine disconnected from the internet you're an exquisite knob and shouldn't worry about privacy at all and anyone should have the right to access your data.

What a bullshit take.

Sync is doing fine but I honestly don't understand the hype.

There is a dozen apps out there since the reddit migration with some having nearly the same features but without ads, without subscriptions and regular updates ever since.

Off the top of my head: Voyager, Summit, Connect, Thunder, Liftoff.

So, honestly not sure if something like this exists.

Going on vacation and looking for an entry-level RPG like game that I can play together with my wife while camping.

It could be pen and paper based or an actual board game. But it needs to be a guided story which requires little preparation. Also open for other suggestions for 2p other than the typical classic/card games.

Thanks everyone!

EDIT: Thanks y'all for your recommendations, I will check everything out! Lot of promising options here!

I see, I wasn't aware of API changes.

I avoid Twitter at any cost but sometimes I'd like to read a single tweet or check a certain account. In the past I used fritter on Android or nitter.net in the browser.

Both do not work for me anymore.

Is there a good way to access twitter without - you know - actually using twitter?

It's going downhill in Europe too. I used Airbnb comparably early when it was available in Germany and it was a great way to cut costs while staying in unique locations and getting great tips from local owners.

Now it's mostly the commercial listings you would find on other sites too, riddled with strange fees and Hotel-like prices.

I prefer decimal freedom units. I offer 5.9166 ft.

Will this undermine most of what makes IAmA special? Probably. But Reddit leadership has all the funds they need to hire people to perform those extra tasks we formerly undertook as volunteer moderators, and we'd be happy to collaborate with them if they choose to do so.

I was using the I don't care about cookies addon but there was talking about the development going in a shady direction so I got rid of it.

Currently I'm using the ublock origin annoyance filters which works only half of the time.

Which filter list would you recommend?

Is there a better way to handle this or is ublock origin still the way to go (for cookies, ad blocking is great).
