It was pretty big over here in the US, and still is with Gen X and older. Nowadays, pretty much the only reasons to get it are if you’re a sports fan or enjoy brainrot 24/7 news networks
I mean we have free over the air TV here in the states too, just don’t need a loicense for it
A TV Licence costs £174.50
Wtf is this in addition to paying for cable/satellite?
That’s because a lot of people in this community are techies, most people don’t have the skills to setup a seed box so it’s much easier to just go to a streaming site in their phone browser
Also sometimes they juice up their numbers to appear more popular
You got a loicense for that desiring knowledge, bruv?
This happened to a girl I knew that tried to make some money on onlyfans during Covid lockdown. Only lasted 4 months, even though she was pretty attractive. I think guys just assume that as a girl, you can simply post nudes online and make money, while it actually does require consistent effort, marketing skills, and a bit of luck.
Remember when Aaron Swartz tried to do something similar and received multiple life sentences
Pre-smartphones, my parents were always yelling at my brothers and I to stop texting at the dinner table.
Post-smartphones, it's now vice-versa and unless we remind them to put their phones on silent beforehand, their phones inevitably erupt in alarms at full volume reminding them to call Marianne back or whatever
Cannot afford, after the regents voted to give themselves $300k pay raises
Respectful enough to call it GNU/Linux, but not support it... lmao
Yeah and even cable/satellite, paid services, are ad-riddled lol. Always kills me how the older generations criticize us for being financially irresponsible when they’re paying to watch a service that’s 20-25% ads
