https://californiapolicycenter.org/how-much-fossil-fuel-is-left/

Sure it only makes up about 80% of global power production.

Every other use is minimal comparatively

That empty land would allow for some nice desert crossings. Empty land is easier to develop and you can go faster.

I'm imagine a donut with at least 2 dessert lines but maybe more. Likely a terminal town would appear in the center of the continent to be used for transfers

I hate the nuclear hate. Maybe today we have better options, although micro-reactors have a lot of promise, but if we invested in nuclear energy 50 years ago our planet would not even be close to fucked up.

People are always fearful of the nuclear accidents but they don't even come close to those killed in the extraction of fossil fuels, but poor lives don't matter. God help anyone has to bear even a miniscule risk for their own energy production.

Thanks for listening to my rant

I hated the recruitment texts and calls. The high school and university apparently just give your information to recruiters.

I once called Nintendo as a kid when my DS hinge broke for no reason. I had it for under a year and there was info about a warranty. They told me that they had already fixed that defect and they would not cover it.

Not sure how to handle this one let's check the manual:

  1. Point
  1. Shoot

Damn I wish I could read

I once discovered that the waffle house jukebox is accessible online. Me and some friends were drinking and played all star for 4 hours straight. Someone tried at one point to insert other songs, but there was an option to give your song priority.

The jukebox went dead around 3am.

You just made a lot of assumptions not supported by the science.

All this shows is physical attraction. When shown pictures of random women to then rate the physical attractiveness of.

That's it. Nothing about who these men actually wanted to date. Someone can be very physically attractive to you and you can simultaneously not want to date them.

Assuming they purchased that home in 1980 at 250k that would be valued just under 1 million today after inflation.

That house would easily be selling for 2 to 3 million now

Telling someone to drink less beer and study more is wild.

Academics in general have a long history of being alcoholics or alcoholic adjacent

I love how accurate this image is. As they hammer more the structure becomes more and more unstable.

I've noticed the AI search suggestions from Bing and Google are just becoming more and more inaccurate as they feed off themselves. I can't even imagine what it's doing to systems we can't see.

Because it was taken from us. We used to divide labor, taking care of the home was considered a full time job for 1 adult.

Now here we are. Where it now takes 2 incomes, or frankly more, to raise a family and have a home. Now you have no time to do anything and purchase more expensive convince items to try to claw back time.

1 income should be enough if they want us to start having kids again

It's equally possible that there was more than one or even a day where only people were born and no one died.

There was a low point where only about 2,000 humans were estimated to be alive. Certainly you couldn't have had someone dying everyday then
