For BTC/BCH; you can spend unconfirmed coins unlike Monero. However its fairer to compare Coinjoin vs Monero; Coinjoining often takes longer than 20 minutes.

You can have multiple outputs to mitigate problem like using pocket change as you said and also you can pay to multiple addresses at the same time.

The point is Monero works as intended, no one can stop or block you because of social norms. That's often what is celebrated.

Payment processors imposes a lot restriction on pornography sector, same thing happened to such as pornhub before.

Yes there's much higher transaction volume, you can choose pay higher fees to speed up.

Yes, that's not new. Someone can figure out if your bitcoins are originating from bisq (or haveno).

New research paper about HavenoDex shows trades between Monero and Bitcoin are traceable.

Abstract:

...We further identify and report on a privacy vulnerability in the recently popularized Haveno exchange, demonstrating that certain Haveno trades could be detected, allowing transactions to be linked across the Monero and Bitcoin blockchains.

The Monero community is excited to announce the launch of the FCMP++ (Full-Chain Membership Proofs) Optimization Coding Competition!

See all contest details here.

What is FCMP++?

FCMP++ is one of the most significant privacy enhancements to Monero since its inception. This upgrade would improve sender-privacy from 1 in 16 to 1 in over 150 million while maintaining compatibility with existing wallets and addresses!

About the Competition

We're looking to optimize the performance of two critical libraries used in FCMP++ (helioselene and ec-divisors). This is your chance to make a direct contribution to Monero's future while competing for 350xmr (~$100,000 at time of writing) in rewards and global recognition.

Competition Details

  • Timeline: Competition runs from April 28th to June 30th, 2025
  • Focus Area: elliptic curve arithmetic
  • Submission Requirements: detailed here
  • Judging Criteria: Speed improvement, code quality, and maintainability

How to Enter

  1. Review the competition details and rules at: https://github.com/j-berman/fcmp-plus-plus-optimization-competition
  2. Clone the repository and familiarize yourself with the codebase
  3. Submit your optimized implementation according to the guidelines in the README

The regulation is part of a broader AML framework that includes bank and payment accounts, passbooks and safe-deposit boxes, “crypto-asset accounts allowing anonymisation of transactions,” and “accounts using anonymity-enhancing coins.”

Hi everyone, we're updating user guides on getmonero.org however we don't have IOS device to take screenshot to update the outdated screenshots. So I'm looking for volunteer for updating this guide.

The task:

  1. Download Matrix messenger called Element
  2. Open the app and take a screenshot
  3. Click on register and follow this guide but use monero.social instead of https://matrix.monero.social
  4. Take another screenshot and send to me (or us).

Then we will use screenshot(s) for the guide.

I asked ublock origin filter maintainers to blacklist the site so if you have ublock origin the site should be blocked

TLDR; The attacker is trolling or very ignorant or law enforcement.

The attacker;

  • doesn't know;
    • DoS'ing isn't 0day and bug
    • Dynamic block size
    • CIA drug trafficking allegations (which is different from drug selling)
    • Corrupt government structures (such as fiat money and others)
    • Pharmacies also sell hard drugs
  • calls "donation" to collateral damage
  • thinks they're "saving" our children
  • complains official wallet is so slow when 200k sub-accounts used
  • didn't prove they really made the attack

because this could've allow an arbitrator to exit scam whole network, now they can only scam the trades that are assigned by the maker or all arbitrators have to agree.

You should check privacy coin Monero.

Matrix and XMPP is pretty much popular in XMR community

And often discord and telegram channels are bridged with other platforms.

They keep ignoring Monero support request over 5 years while its one of most requested feature. https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/935538-accounts-payments/suggestions/33188971-accept-monero-for-payment

and bitcoin is not available as a payment method during account sign up, only after creating the account.

Hi, I'm looking a privacy friendly e-mail provider that accepts Monero. Most are accepting credit card only which looks suspicious to me. Thanks.
