Getting any degree at University is the same way, bachelor's is the first level that requires an actual internship in order to go anywhere, it is gone to the point where internship listings are starting to put in their job listing "prior internship experience preferred"

So like the job that is meant to give you the skills to start out is wanting an additional internship prior to being hired. This country is going to hell lmao

Unless that design includes a MicroSD card slot I'm not interested

Dude I think I'd be switching banks, if it's that much of a hassle to get established, I don't want to know the hassle if something actually needed to be done

I can't wait for companies to not use the system that way they can get around the requirement of having a partial refund if they don't go through with their commitment

Not super obscure, but not many talk about it. Q4OS, I love it, a perfect windows replacement down to even imitating the old style windows installer. Plus it's Debian based so it has a lot of support. I plan on moving my grandparents to it when windows 10 gets fully discontinued as their current rig doesn't support 11

Others have said this but, that's because the merchant has changed the item listed. I don't believe Amazon should even allow this as a possibility but it does so because they allow it sellers will regularly put an item they know will rate really well out for a few months to get a lot of high rating, and then they'll swap it out for an item that is either something else they want to sell that usually doesn't sell as often or something that's a little lower quality but because they had the old item first all of the reviews for the old item is now stacked onto the new item which makes it look better than it actually is

On top of this, Amazon is able to remember what you purchased in the past so when it gives you those notices it doesn't give you the current information on the item it gives you the information that provided when the item was purchased, so for example if you asked a question on the item, using what they received they're probably thinking that you're the dumb one because they likely got an email showing a dash camera with the same question

wasn't it always blocked by default? Google's always given a scare alert on sideloading apps, is this just an additional popup or is it replacing the stock one. Seems rather pointless if a setting and a waste of developer's resources if you ask me.

I'm just sick of every article in existence calling it "X formally known as Twitter" like what's the point, just either say X or say twitter it's filler bullshit to extend the article.

It's actually quite worrisome, many projects exclusively have their troubleshooting or support on Discord now what's going to happen years down the road when all those Discord servers have closed or no longer active and the invite links expire this is going to be a vast knowledge base that's just lost to the world

especially with mobile phones now, look at iPhone for example, it's so user friendly that if you try to do anything remotely advance you need to jump through hoops to do it. I had a sales person try to tell me that the iPhone was expandable because it had cloud storage capability, they didn't know what a Micro SD card was and that it used to be able to go in all the flagship phones. Pretty disappointing
