How the fuck is this even possible?
a legal mechanism approved in a 1996 Supreme Court ruling, which allows judges to sentence defendants based on charges for which they were acquitted.
What a shit ruling and yet another example how how incredibly broken the US "justice" system is.
More going after corrupt judges please.
We already paid for the god damn infrastructure ourselves and the invention of the Internet itself through our tax dollars. Why the hell do ISPs get to profit from it infinitely with almost no meaningful regulation to protect you and me (who, again, already paid for this shit several times over).
Fun fact: ISPs have received almost half a TRILLION dollars in kickbacks funded by taxpayer dollars on top of everything else. Regulatory capture is a real problem.
Sorry, best we can do is a race to the bottom fueled by greed and incompetence.
Yeah, no shit. I have a full time job, supposedly great health insurance, but I still can't actually afford to go to the doctor (never mind an ER). You're God damn right the healthcare system is broken!
If this is distracting, so are ads: Ban them too!
Fuck cancer!
Sorry, it's hard to think with all this plastic in my brain.
I'm not sacrificing shit, asshole. We fucking deserve a 4 day work week after decades of skyrocketing productivity and shit wages.
We've been sacrificing every time we get a "raise" or a "cost of living adjustment" that doesn't even come close to keeping up with inflation.
