Here is the Trump/Harris debate. They won't let me copy the clip, so choose abortion on the side if you want to hear both of their answers.

Tea Party(2010s or so) is when they started going anti-science. They've always been pro Christian though, so it's a fuzzy line.

Have you heard of "sexy indifference"? A relative of mine mentioned it. It kind of makes sense. If you don't seem desperate or greedy for a relationship, you'll be more fun to be around and won't care as much either, because you have your own thing going on.

The shots didn't get anywhere near him, he is not a victim. Maybe all of the R's can now go to golf clubs in solidarity with him. It would be way better than wearing a maxipad on their ears.

My bad, sorry about that. I picked up the wrong one. I fixed the link.

As detailed in the complaint, the defendants’ alleged scheme has three main components. First, an agreement to fix the price of peer review services at zero that includes an agreement to coerce scholars into providing their labor for nothing by expressly linking their unpaid labor with their ability to get their manuscripts published in the defendants’ preeminent journals.

Second, the publisher defendants agreed not to compete with each other for manuscripts by requiring scholars to submit their manuscripts to only one journal at a time, which substantially reduces competition by removing incentives to review manuscripts promptly and publish meritorious research quickly.

Third, the publisher defendants agreed to prohibit scholars from freely sharing the scientific advancements described in submitted manuscripts while those manuscripts are under peer review, a process that often takes over a year. As the complaint notes, “From the moment scholars submit manuscripts for publication, the Publisher Defendants behave as though the scientific advancements set forth in the manuscripts are their property, to be shared only if the Publisher Defendant grants permission. Moreover, when the Publisher

Note: I haven't used any of these, I can't speak for them. I do think it's cool for the environment and people on a budget though.

The trust document sets out what will happen to ownership of the media assets upon Murdoch’s death: His voting share will be transferred to the four oldest children. That could lead to a scenario in which the children are fighting over the future of the media assets. Fear of that outcome seems to have motivated Rupert Murdoch to seek this change to the trust.

Although Lachlan is now the chair of News Corp. and executive chair and CEO of Fox Corporation, the children have already aired some of their disagreements over the political direction of the media companies. For example, James and his wife have criticized Fox’s move to the right. Murdoch may well see this as a threat to the company’s business model, which caters to a conservative audience.

A geyser in Yellowstone's Biscuit Basin suddenly and violently exploded at about 10 a.m. local time on Tuesday because of a hydrothermal explosion underground, sending debris and boiling water and steam showering down on the area.

Some of these pieces of rock were up to 3 feet in diameter and weighed more than a person, according to an update from Yellowstone National Park and the United States Geological Survey.

Holy shit, they also cancelled it. Lmao

On Wednesday, some of the people who posted about the gift card said that when they went to redeem the offer, they got an error message saying the voucher had been canceled. When TechCrunch checked the voucher, the Uber Eats page provided an error message that said the gift card “has been canceled by the issuing party and is no longer valid.”

In the three-month study, the healthy participants increased their daily dietary fibre intake by 10 grams, which is equivalent to about four apples or 3 deciliters of oatmeal. To study the significance of the increased fibre intake, gut bacteria were collected at the beginning and the end of the study. These gut bacteria were then transplanted into mice which were fed a low-fiber Western diet. In the group of animals transplanted with intestinal bacteria from the beginning of the study, the researchers observed damage of the mucus layer. The opposite was seen in the group with increased consumption of dietary fibres, where the mucus layer looked fine.

"The result highlights the significant role that dietary fibre has for our intestinal bacteria, which in turn contributes to maintaining the important mucus barrier," says Rachel Feeney, Doctoral student at the Department of Molecular Biology at Umeå University.

My friends keep begging me to go swimming at this location. I've been told by locals that it's not a wise decision. I was wondering how I can tell? I don't think it's about bacteria, but more there are a ton of boats, planes and former industrial waste in the area. Can I tell from these tests?

It is Lake Union A522 if it doesn't link properly. Also, click all of the boxes to see the data and put in May through now to check the test.

FYI, I've seen people swimming there, they seem like tourists though.

I noticed you all were kind of against the White part of the name, I agree. I changed it to wacky, but we could take out the wacky altogether and call it People Twitter, any thoughts?

I'm not changing anything else. I'm going to watch for trolling, but that's about it. I hope you all keep having fun with it, I'm not really going to post much. I wanted to keep it here if we could, that's it.

Hit me up if you really want to mod. Kersploosh is great about accommodating everyone.

Edit: What do you all think of this as the banner? The white will just blend with the background. It's all the ideas for the name. I think it's funny, but you may not.

Edit 2: It will only blend with the background if you're in light mode. That might defeat dark mode. Maybe I'll just skip it.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) invites members of the public to a roundtable discussion about the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) technology and legal protections for individuals’ reputations and name, image, voice, likeness (NIL), and other indicators of identity.

This is your opportunity to provide input on:

  • Whether existing legal protections for individuals’ NIL and reputations are sufficient
  • How these legal protections intersect with other intellectual property (IP) laws
  • How AI technology impacts existing legal protections for NIL and reputation

The feedback received will assist the USPTO’s work to develop IP policy recommendations regarding the intersection of AI and IP, in accordance with the Executive Order on AI issued by President Biden in October 2023.

The Australian island state is trying to drum up tourism during the Southern Hemisphere’s winter

Searching for a new job? Tasmania is looking for curious, adventurous professionals to fill a wide array of unusual roles—including a “wombat walker,” who will be responsible for taking the stocky marsupials on their morning jaunts and feeding them snacks.

Tasmania has posted a series of “odd jobs” in a bid to boost tourism during the Southern Hemisphere’s winter, which runs from June to August. All of the gigs are unpaid, though the local tourism board will cover the cost of travel, lodging and food.

Someone asked him if being naked would be required, and he said “it is not about getting naked. It’s about experiencing different kind of sauna. And, if you knew anything about it, wetness level inside Bania or Steam one is around 90%. So, towel is extremely wet after few seconds. So, you can still do it, but it may result with fungal infection. Also, based on recommendation from Polskie Towarzystwo Saunowe [the “Polish Sauna Society”], you should be naked in Bania or Steam and with or without towel in dry one :)”

TikTok says the mechanism would have allowed the government the "explicit authority to suspend the platform in the United States at the US government's sole discretion" if it did not follow certain rules.

A draft "National Security Agreement", proposed by TikTok in August 2022, would have seen the company having to follow rules such as properly funding its data protection units and making sure that ByteDance did not have access to US users' data.

In the May lawsuit, three men - who were not seated together and did not know each other - said that every black man was removed from the flight between Phoenix, Arizona and New York City.

A total of eight passengers were removed.

In a separate incident in 2017, the NAACP warned black travellers to avoid the airline, citing a pattern of "disrespectful" and "discriminatory" behaviour as well as a "corporate culture of racial insensitivity and possible racial bias".

They lifted the advisory the following year after the carrier announced it had made changes to its operations.

Morris told the Christian Post: “In March of 1987, this situation was brought to light, and it was confessed and repented of. I submitted myself to the Elders of Shady Grove Church and the young lady’s father. They asked me to step out of ministry and receive counseling and freedom ministry, which I did.”

Despite his admission, Morris will continue to be a primary speaker at the church on weekends and his son, James Morris, will assume his father’s senior pastor duties next year.

Morris was never criminally charged and by the time his accuser decided to explore legal action, she was advised the statute of limitations for criminal or civil action had probably expired.

True, but these are not the words of innocent men.

Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung told Newsweek in a Saturday email that it is "unprofessional" to ask if the binder was sold to Russia. "What proof do you have?" he asked.
