That's Texas, it's different.

Letting the user decide? If the user decided that they liked fly fishing 8 stars and mother-in-law 0 stars, then the algorithm would show mother-in-law once a week at best and fly fishing 8x out of 10 posts.

Sorry, I missed one.

Hey people with ADHD, this dude has your number and how to set you off. Look into his comments to see how he's troll baiting you so you might catch it and downvote and move on after the second comment.

This isn't your fault, but I'm trying to save you some anger. We're getting really popular again, this is going to happen with other stuff too.

I'm removing this comment to keep it nice in here and I'll take care of the rest.

The product's ingredients changed over time, as various artificial sweeteners were banned by the FDA. At certain times it was sweetened with cyclamates and saccharin. At one point the directions instructed children to add sugar and ice. In the early seventies, the manufacturer concluded that it would not be able to make a version that was both legal and sufficiently palatable to be profitable, and so discontinued the product. [when?]

After the introduction of NutraSweet, the brand was resurrected by Premiere Innovations, Inc. in the mid-1990s but its availability was short-lived and the company disappeared. Premiere Innovations marketed Fizzies as "Instant Sparkling Drink Tablets" that were "also great in milk", "only 10 calories" and "Vitamin C enriched".

The Fizzies brand reappeared in the 2000s. Previously owned and manufactured by Amerilab Technologies in Plymouth, Minnesota, Fizzies Drink Tablets were available in candy stores and through online retailers.

As of 2012, Fizzies was available in nine flavors: lemonade, root beer, cherry, orange, blue razz, hot cocoa, hot apple cider, cherry cola, and grape. It was marketed as a nostalgic drink to the baby boomer generation and as a fun way for kids to make their own flavorful drinks. In the past incarnation, the product had only 5 calories, was sweetened with sucralose, and contained Vitamin C in the form of ascorbic acid.[3] In February or March of 2016, Fizzies was again discontinued.

I'm obviously wrong here, maybe misguided. I checked the logs through his name and you're correct. I did see that exact comment though. It's all very strange.

[-] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 days ago

FYI, I did check the modlog. I think they have a holding pattern for a few hours on their logs or something and now let them through. It seems to be the case on this community as well since I see someone's comment was removed and they were banned but you can't see the log.

You're right, that was the reason and I misunderstood or OP was fibbing on what really happened.

I will say this, there was still no reason for them to remove a similar comment, but that's my opinion and I'm not a mod there.

[-] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 12 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

That was the first comment, not the second. You're mistaken on what is happening.

Also, why did he post the exact same thing and not just restore the guy's comment?

I'm not OP, but from the timeline it seems legit.

Timeline:

  1. OP posts comment
  2. Mod removes comment with no reason
  3. Mod post the exact same comment that was removed
  4. OP complains and shows a screenshot.

Edit: User says there was a reason-

My comment was similar to Stupes.

The reason for it being deleted was the same as his reply to Stupe

That means the mod removed the post because it was similar to an entirely different user and then posts the same thing as the user's comment that was removed, 15 minutes later.

I don't understand the why of this? I've seen him be great, what is the point of all this.

EDIT 2: This seems to be my mistake or OP was fibbing. Regardless, still a little weird, but feel free to go after me if you feel necessary. I apologize for the drama.

Microsoft is starting to integrate AI shortcuts, or what it calls AI actions, into the File Explorer in Windows 11. These shortcuts let you right-click on a file and quickly get to Windows AI features like blurring the background of a photo, erasing objects, or even summarizing content from Office files.

Four image actions are currently being tested in the latest Dev Channel builds of Windows 11, including Bing visual search to find similar images on the web, the blur background and erase objects features found in the Photos app, and the remove background option in Paint.

I don't know about other religions, but we were taught as youngsters in Catholicism that Jesus was god too. They were separate, but one. 🤷

Bytes, come on, please provide an archived link for RFK Jr. This has been 2 days in a row. Your posts are great, but I'll just pull right away from now on. I'll give everyone a half hour if you don't want me to pull it for this one, but this is a warning.

If you can't figure out why this community requires an archived link, ask yourself if you can tell if RFK really said this.

Edit: u/urpartnerincrime found the link and I archived it. https://archive.is/fk7oe

Unlike in virtually all other areas of the country, private listings are barred by the NWMLS.

New York-based Compass has taken aim at the local prohibition, sparking a federal lawsuit and plenty of industry controversy. This spring, Seattle-area Compass agents listed a handful of private exclusive properties before the NWMLS cut off the company’s access to its data feed in April, essentially forcing Compass to relent.

Even as Compass has halted private exclusive listings here because of local rules, a small share of Seattle-area properties are already sold without full transparency. Some homeowners want to sell to a neighbor or family member without broad advertising. Wealthy people, celebrities and homeowners with security concerns sometimes sell their properties off-market. Agents working with privacy-conscious sellers may skirt the NWMLS rules or submit listings and get permission to not have the property displayed broadly.

OP Note: I don't think this is just about listing days on the market. This is probably more about racism, since you have to sign in to see anything and I'm sure they pay for data brokers.

The documents were sent by the German embassy in Tokyo and arrived in Argentina on 20 June 1941 inside 83 diplomatic pouches aboard a Japanese steamship, according to information gathered by court officials.

They ended up in the Supreme Court that same year after they were confiscated by Argentine customs officials who had opened five pouches at random and found Nazi propaganda material inside.

They were rediscovered last week by workers who were intrigued by a number of wooden champagne crates they stumbled upon while moving archival material from the Supreme Court's basement.

The crates were quickly moved to a secure office in the building and court officials alerted the Buenos Aires Holocaust Museum to their existence and asked for its help in creating an inventory of all their contents.

I swear I had Econ in college, but I don't remember anyone saying this so succinctly. It's from a weird place too, but this quote hits home. It's like population decline, but for money.

It was a truly baffling thing for an American president to say. And University of Michigan economist Justin Wolfers explained on MSNBC that things could get very bad as Trump’s scheme becomes reality. Wolfers ntoed that the idea of how much you can afford to buy with your income is called “real income.” And if real income falls, that’s called a recession. Wolfers went on to explain that if things decline as badly as Trump’s example, where someone who bought 30 dolls could only afford to buy two dolls, that’s called a depression.

Nitter link to video where they speak Portugese

The footage shows a female passenger dressed in business casual clothing at an open cockpit door before she’s wrestled to the ground by a crew member on the flight.

As the crew members work to gain control of the situation, a male passenger stands up from his seat and begins shouting in Portuguese.

The woman is seen loudly arguing with the crew, even reportedly yelling in Portuguese, “Aren’t you ashamed? I’ll kick you in the balls.” After they help her up, they begin escorting her back to her seat as she continues to protest.

As she was walked back to her seat, she reportedly began hurling insults at the cabin crew members, calling them a “son of a b—,” a f—t,” and adding that they were “going to get screwed.”

The male passenger continues standing and yelling furiously at her as she’s taken back to her seat, prompting another cabin crew member to approach him and try to calm him down.

Local reports say the woman tried to enter the cockpit to ask the pilots directly why the flight was taking off late, but her attempt and the man’s outburst delayed the flight even further.

A new device renders 3-D graphics that users can grab, drag and rotate. Such interactive visuals — which can be seen without a VR headset — could help create new hands-on educational tools or museum exhibits. They might also be used to make 3-D artwork or video games.

Bouzbib and colleagues at the Public University of Navarre in Pamplona, Spain, replaced the flat screen with a row of elastic strips like the ones used in the waistbands of stretchy pants. Users could then reach down into the display, fingers slipping through the oscillating strips, to touch virtual objects. Cameras tracking the user’s hand allowed them to pinch, swipe, spin and otherwise manipulate the graphics.

You put out headlines with trump in the title to get the clicks. This is what you've been signing up for and now you're being replaced assholes.

This week, the White House sank to a new low on that front, holding a first-of-its-kind “New Media Press Briefing.” While inviting journalists from smaller, less established outlets to the White House is ostensibly a good idea, that’s not what the administration did. Indeed, instead of inviting actual journalists to the event, the White House populated it with a slew of friendly influencers who were all too happy to kiss the president’s ass and ask White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt the softest of softball questions. It was bullshit questions and bullshit answers all the way down.

Leavitt kicked the briefing off by bragging about the administration’s various “accomplishments” over the past 100 years, er sorry, I meant days. “As I promised at my first briefing as press secretary back in January, the Trump White House will speak to all media outlets and personalities—not just the legacy media who traditionally has covered this institution,” Leavitt said.___
