The first picture could be in the second one, what point was this trying to make? Real native prairie is a sea of native grasses as tall or taller than you, but we pretty much destroyed that with our non-native, invasive lawn grass bullshit.
The point I'm making is that there's a misconception that prairie = wildflowers, when it's dominantly grassy species. Sure, some wildflower species exist, but grasses are hyper-competitive, and choke out a lot of other species. In land restoration, there's a tendency to plant grasses in historically treed ecosystems, since they're fast establishing. However, this often sets back restoration efforts, as the grasses out compete the woody species and planted trees.
Below, I have a couple examples of typical native praries.

Yeah, this is definitely not as common of a misconception as you think. I've personally never heard anyone say anything about what they think a prairie is. And even if it is somewhat common, it's not detrimental in any way.
For the record, I didn't downvote you, I just saw this. But a quick heads-up, complaining about downvotes is a sure-fire way to get more downvotes. I specialize in this field.
