Hard to tell if these articles are just MIC contractors begging for more money. "We need to ramp up production, we're totally out!" These types of doom-saying self-critical articles about the army come out every so often and are often a thin veneer for more funding.
every few months they will cry about how China's new military tech will surpass the USA. Once they get more funding, they'll say how archaic China's military still is
Realistically, the west has enough weapons to sustain an invasion or defend themselves. They likely went under like a 95% threshold which is considered “running out of arms” and is tired of Ukraine not making any progress
