Been working on a thing at work for 5 days now. Its not going forwards. I dont want to do it anymore. But its not because i dislike programming. I just yearning to get home and continue programming my Mod and planning my upcoming game

I am working on a game with team. Someone implemented an interaction system it doesn't work. Every day i have the project open and I try one thing. If it fails i can't take a look at it again until I have another idea.

I should make a new interaction system.

Thats why i like working alone on the projects i came up with. Then it is my vision and i do i like it. Dont want to have others meddle with my code...idk...

Washing dishes is hella easy.

Put dishes in machine, add soap, turn on machine.

What do you mean some people don't have a machine?

[-] endeavor@sopuli.xyz 1 points 38 minutes ago

Yes. T. No machine and no place to put a machine without a new kitchen.

[-] Geobloke@lemm.ee 1 points 40 minutes ago

Even easier if you have 2. One for clean and one for dirty, frees up cupboard space as well

people with adhd perform hella easy task challenge (impossible)

[-] Linktank@lemmy.today 3 points 11 hours ago

Sorry but that machine is the sanitizer. I still have to WASH the dish before I put it in there.

"This video isn't available any more"

[-] Nefara@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago

Oops, fixed

It also just generally helps to put them in there immediately after use and not wait for all the stuff on them to dry and congeal into something stronger than concrete.

Which is what I would guess is a major source of hating dishes even for people with a machine: forgetting to do them in the first place so it's worse when you finally do. 🤣

My MIL, bless her heart, is extremely picky about dishes being completely washed off before going in the dishwasher. And I mean completely. Any remnants of food need to be scrubbed off.

[-] Nefara@lemmy.world 1 points 10 hours ago

I wonder if she has or had one of the models with the filter trap? I thankfully have one with the composter thing but if I had to clean year old moldy spaghetti remnants out of a filter I can definitely see making that rule.

It's a very nice modern dishwasher, I forget the brand... It had a drainage issue a couple years ago, I ended up finding one of those "snap-off" razor blade segments stuck in the drain pipe. No clue how it got in there. Other than that, it's a solid machine.

Also, your link is broken.

I made an entire RPG over the past two weeks because it was either that or studying for my finals

[-] SuiXi3D@fedia.io 6 points 12 hours ago

lol, two weeks. I’ve been living out of hampers for years at this point.

My dishes are clean, and that won't change unless I empty my dishwasher. One bowl and a spoon are enough for most tasks.

[-] Nemo@slrpnk.net 12 points 16 hours ago

big opposite for me:

if I care about it, I'm immobilized by agonizing over every detail

if I don't give a shit, I crank some hyperpop and knock it out fast and dirty... until I get distracted

[-] Bosht@lemmy.world 7 points 16 hours ago

Yeah my issue is my hyperfixation is gaming. Other hobbies every now and then, but never anything useful like programming, even though that would be a major boon. Anything learning-wise and my brain just shuts down, finds everything it can to distract, etc. when I'm medicated though? Yeah, I'm def the dude on the left. Power through anything, learn anything. Literally feel like the guy in Limitless when my meds are working.

It was washed and sat unfolded in the clean basket for two weeks, I can’t be certain how long it sat in the dirty hamper.

[-] Stamets@lemmy.world 2 points 16 hours ago

I don't have many clothes :(

Me researching a topic that piques my curiosity;

Okay so I after all the open source info lead nowhere, I made a throwaway account on a 2000s era hobbyist PHP forum and THAT’S where I found the research paper that unlocked everything after translating from Russian and pre-standardization local units

Also me trying to replace a three-way light switch

Man idk, this seems like a really hard to figure out this wiring diagram
